Primary Challenge Update

As I begin this letter I am filled with gratitude for the support of so many who have made Primary Challenge a success and continue to support our ongoing efforts to make government at all levels more responsive to the people.

In my last letter I indicated that we were in need of a projector to use in a Power Point Presentation, and I am happy to report that the projector is in, working and paid for. Also, not knowing Power Point myself, I needed assistance putting the presentation together. I want to particularly thank Debbie Learner for her assistance in this matter. I believe you will all be pleased with the results when you see the presentation.

As of today, the Power Point Presentation is complete and ready for public meetings. Anyone wishing to host a meeting should contact the Primary Challenge office at 716-937-6256 or contact me directly at 716-207-7138 cell, or 585-344-1797 work. It is my hope that we will be able to take the presentation to schools, clubs, associations, churches anywhere people will gather to learn how to participate in government.

During the last meeting of the board of Primary Challenge, we interviewed a few candidates for town offices. Anyone interested in running for public office with a heart for reform should contact our office to schedule an interview. The purpose of the interview is for an endorsement however, even if you are not chosen to receive the Primary Challenge endorsement, we will assist you in exercising your right to run by providing you with the necessary materials and direction. A second endorsement meeting is scheduled for April 5, 2007 at 7:30 pm. We will hold all meetings at the Primary Challenge office located at 788 Sullivan Rd, Alden, NY 14004.

As for the website, we are still in need of a VOLUNTEER that will function as our webmaster. It is very important that information be placed on the website when necessary and without a volunteer willing to do that, we unfortunately experience long delays in our web updates. Anyone interested in this position please contact me as soon as possible. I am avoiding the need to learn another software system and concentrating on increasing the effectiveness of Primary Challenge.

Finally, all board members of Primary Challenge have been encouraged to attend Town and Village Board meetings. As chairman of Primary Challenge, I have scheduled myself in board meetings for the next three months. It is important that those in office see our concern and hear our voice. Please consider attending a local meeting and join the other members of Primary Challenge in making your government more accountable to you.

Once again, thank you for your support.

Sincerest Regards,

Leonard Roberto

Chairman
