As you are no doubt aware the Primary Elections for 2007 are just days away. On Tuesday some of you will have an opportunity to participate in the most important election of the year. I cannot over emphasize how important it is that each of you takes full advantage of this great opportunity.
Primary Challenge has endorsed several candidates for election 2007 but some of them do not have a primary. I would like to highlight those that do and encourage our supporters in the respective districts to not only vote but to encourage others to vote as well.
The following is a list of candidates supported by Primary Challenge who will need your help this coming Tuesday:
1. Cindy Locklear, Democrat, Erie County Legislator.
Cindy is running in the 9th district which includes West Seneca and South Cheektowaga. Cindy ran as a Primary Challenge candidate two years ago and successfully won both the primary and the general elections. She has been a faithful servant for the people of her district and it is my opinion she deserves to be returned to the Legislature to continue working on our behalf.
2. Bryon McIntyre, Democrat, Buffalo Common Council Ellicott District
Bryon is a hard working Buffalo Fire Fighter who understands the problems of the city. He is well educated and will provide an independent voice on the council. I encourage everyone in the Ellicott District to consider Bryon McIntyre when you vote on Tuesday.
3. Russell Scherrer, Republican, Wales Town Board
Russell is self employed and a hard worker. He is very active in his community and would make a great town board member.
4. Sue Cushman, Democrat, Erie County Legislature
Sue is running for the Erie County Legislature 13th district. She is will appear on the Primary ballot in the Conservative and Independence party races. Primary Challenge members are encouraged to support Sue in her efforts to win these most critical primary races.
Primary Challenge Amherst is supporting the following candidates for Amherst Town Board:
5. Roy Wixson, Republican, Amherst Town Board
Current Deputy Supervisor of the Town of Amherst, is a licensed Attorney with outstanding credentials and community service.
6. Mark Klczek, Republican, Amherst Town Board
With his Masters degree from D’Youville College and Bachelor’s degree from Canisius College, coupled with his volunteer service as a Eucharistic Minister, softball coach and other volunteer work Mark is a great choice for Amherst Town Board.
