    Rogowski

So now Prince Rogowski wants to be the next State Assemblymen in Cheektowaga/Depew/Lancaster, This is either a joke or a very bad prank someone is playing on the Prince. There isn't a chance in hell this will ever happen he has way touch baggage or maybe again he thinks his Entitlement will get him over the edge.

Lies and Deception can only get you so far Prince Rogowski you have a better chance of being hit by a lightning Bolt. You live by the sword you die by the sword.

Ill vote for you though just to get you the hell out of Cheektowaga as you've done not 1 positive thing for the Citizens !

    Let him run!!!

Get him off the board. Talk about friends and family issues? We'll close that door at least from that position.

If you vote Rogoski to Assembly, you are letting Max right into state politics and things will be worse than ever

With the Presidential election coming - every wanna be Dem with a campaign fund or the ability to raise money will run. If you look at past election cycles - lets take 2008 for instance. The Dem who ran for Erie County Exec didn't truly have a chance to win.. He was a well known also ran - but he was from a family that could raise money. He wrapped himself around the Dem Party and Hillary for President. (wrong choice)

Point being he ran to try and be swept in by default - not on his merits but the fact that being a Dem he could get him swept in. The idea is to have as many lower level races filled with money so as to push it "Up hill to the D.N.C. and then their Presidential candidate.

People don't realize that the lion share of the money raised and given to Mr.Keane (Dem) actually ended up in Washington. He pushed over $360,000.00 up hill from his local supporters to the D.N.C. Some of it went to Hillary after her visit to Buffalo - but the lion share went to Obama once he secured the nomination.

So it should be interesting to see which cash heavy Dems are pulled out of the closet this year.

Hillary also learned a big lesson last time she ran against Obama - which was opposite of her current race - "Although Obama led Clinton in delegates won through state contests, Clinton claimed that she had the popular vote lead as she had more actual votes from the state contests" - Thats why this time she has already secured the "Promises" of many Super delegates in advance.

The way the Democratic caucus is run now - the weighted votes/Super delegates can over rule the popular voters nationwide. The advantage is obvious - the Party Controllers actually chose the candidates - not the average voter.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
"If you look at a Democratic delegate tracker like this one from The New York Times, you’ll find that Hillary Clinton has a massive 394-44 delegate lead over Bernie Sanders so far, despite having been walloped by Sanders in New Hampshire and only essentially having tied him in Iowa. While Sanders does have a modest 36-32 lead among elected delegates — those that are bound to the candidates based on the results of voting in primaries and caucuses — Clinton leads 362-8 among superdelegates, who are Democratic elected officials and other party insiders allowed to support whichever candidate they like.

If you’re a Sanders supporter, you might think this seems profoundly unfair. And you’d be right: It’s profoundly unfair. Superdelegates were created in part to give Democratic party elites the opportunity to put their finger on the scale and prevent nominations like those of George McGovern in 1972 or Jimmy Carter in 1976, which displeased party insiders"

Just what you don't need! But who is at fault letting this clown into Cheektowaga politics, and for how many years. The taxpayers that keep voting him into office one reason I packed up and left. Between him and Holtz and a few more they have ruined a good town over the years with out of control taxes.

    Max Who?
Seriously everyone gives so much credit to a retired garbage man. he lost steve pidgeon and steve casey and he lost all of his control over any jobs he had in the town. he has nothing to offer anyone anymore. all he has now is a couple of bitter elected people and retired elected people to conspire with. he should just move to florida like the rest of the cheektowaga retireees

    Exactly...

We don't need anyone who believes the town is an employment agency for friends and family.

For the most part the current town board should focus on supplying town services to the property/business owners in a reasonable and efficient manner. That doesn't mean try to supply what ever service you feel a few people want so that you can gain political support come election time. If that is what it's about to you as a board member you are not doing your job.

We have been losing population for over a decade and a reason that contributes to that is our property taxes.

Why would someone move to Cheektowaga when they can easily move to other towns that offer the same, better or not needed services for less taxes?

Just like shopping for apples. You get to a point where the apple you want is just too expensive at store A so you end up shopping at store B. No hard feelings about store A. In the end an apple is an apple no matter how you want to package it.

    I don't think so.

I agree with the other posters. He and crew should just take their retirement and retire. Let people who see the issues our town faces and left them try to fix them.

I think the difference is municipal employee or private employee? You can make a private employee work and you can make a municipal employee work. I believe Diane's hardest struggle as the new supervisor is getting the people that work for the town to actually put in a hard days work. How does our sanitation department work 3-4 hours a day and get paid for 8, but the private recycling company driver works all day 5 days a week. The mentality has to change. I listened to a town worker telling a relative that they were not hired to be efficient but to only provide a service! Times and mentalities, and work ethics need to change!
