Is giving away tax dollars a way to reduced uneeded spending ?

Depew's Trustees Mike N. claims the problem with "Government is Lazy Apathetic Voters" -

He also claims as a Trustee he has tried to change the way local Government and Party Players do things.

While most residents still see things like "Patronage Hiring, Nepotism, Insider Party Favors and Developer backed Political Groups" -

Politicians love to claim tax funded agenda items as "Personal Achievements" - most voters realize its simple evry day operations any Government performs. Yet some how if they hire someone to take away your garbage they act like they did you a favor - you pay for that "Service" - its not a gift of government !

Its sad to see how Lancaster has grown while Depew has been left to flounder in many areas. The only areas that have had any support from Lancaster's Controlling Members has been recreational facilities . Most facilities who's use is dominated by Lancaster/Depew chosen families and friends.

Even tax funded jobs and appointments seem like extensions of the Lancaster Party Groups entitlements.

Depew residents have been routinely blocked out of tax funded positions in favor of "Party Players" - these same Party Players seem to work their way into Lancaster - Depew is sort of like the farm team for Lancaster's Party Players. They learn the Party ways and if they do well - maybe they'll move up to Lancaster's Controlling Team.

With elections coming soon - isn't it time to ask some questions ?

Why have elected Officials ignored the needs of the tax payers?

Why have so many of the Party Players enjoyed tax funded appointments and tax funded jobs?

In another thread - Trustee Mike N was asked to explain how he has tried to change these things.

When asked for concrete proof - he become accusatory and defensive.

Why ? Is he part of the problem or has he tried to help - is he "Playing the Party/Politics Game" - or has he voted against waste and abuse ?

He ended his postings by saying he wont answer me - he doesn't have to !

Who does he have to answer to ?

My agenda is clear - expose misinformation - reveal and state what most see yet cant or wont say - if you cant deal with that - you should not be a "Public Servant"

This site is about open debate mostly aimed at reducing taxation, patronage and unneeded use of tax funded gimmicks.

You will answer for your actions or lack of - and other "Public Officials" will eventually.

Its our "Right" to call you out - your supposed to work for taxpayers - not your Groups Agenda.

Question These are some question voters/taxpayers should be asking - Election time is coming !

In another thread - Depew's Trustees Mike N. claims the problem with "Government is Lazy Apathetic Voters" -

He also said he would no longer answer me here on SpeakupWNY - he doesn't have to answer me - he should atleast be honest with Depew. He said his "Voting record is public" and if I had questions I should look up the records - I am - he seems to be just another "Yes Vote" - whether its obvious Patronage appointments - Negotiated Bonus checks for Non-Union Employees or voting to protest and over ride Gov Cuomo's tax caps - he Vote YES !

You decide - he also defends a powerful local developer financing and organizing local minor Political Party's to Control Depew -
    he VOTES YES !

Is this good for Depew tax payers - or is it good for the tax funded Party Players ?

Since 2012 - how many tax dollars were designated for "Demolishing Abandoned Homes ?

As of today - how many "Abandoned home were demolished using tax dollars and total cost to tax Payers" ?

[QUOTE=mikenold;1491251] Cost savings for the village:

    1) Residents can pay taxes (full or partial) with credit card - who pays the processing fees for this service ? For 2014 how much has it cost and what documents salaries were eliminated or reduced because of the "Cost Savings"

    2) Negotiated a $50,000 return on Police tab with Cheektowaga. Total = 440,000 out of 2.5 million
Isnt it true that : Trustee Nolder explained they asked for $750,000.00 and only received $50,000.00

Full time code enforcement: How much has been save by this move - how much does the "Full time Code Enforcement Cost Yearly" ?

Revamp of village codes : Isn't it true the revamping of the codes did not in any way save tax payers money, what fees were removed ?
    - was one of the codes voted on while you were in office - the one that dropped the "Air quality code" that affected neighbors negatively near KFC ?

Abandoned home demolition’s - new code and enforcement (unsafe buildings) - again out of all the notices sent out - how many even responded and have been brought into compliance to date(2013-2014) ?

How many homes have had their lawns mowed or yards cleared that was paid for with tax payers dollars ? Now you can say, "We will apply that to their tax bills" - but the fact remains its paid for with tax dollars - YES or NO ?

Improvements in recreation for village residents - Isnt it true taxpayers/residents complained that "actually the Board reduced the hours for open resident youth skateing" ! So actually younger residents were limited - while others gained more time ?

    From today's Buffalo News -
The Village Preservation Party of Depew will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at its new headquarters at 5150 Broadway
Isn't 5150 Broadway the same location of the Town of Lancaster Democrat committee headquarters?

So are these political parties one in the same?
