As the first case of ebola hits NY this thread has actually gotten amusing.

Watching nogods struggle to find an analogy that fits his, "well you cant be 100% sure so why bother?" mentality

Under the nogods doctrine we should encourage guys not to wear condoms, after all condoms break, it isnt 100 % sure so why bother?
People who wonder if the glass is half empty or full miss the point. The glass is refillable.

The suggestion that we can address the problem by prohibiting travel from a few countries is intellectual pissing in the wind. Trying to depict it as common sense doesn't help to overcome its delusional conclusions.

Judge Judy would have a field day with you.

But. If he couldn't leave the infected country for 90 days while in quarantine ( to make sure, leave no doubt to the best of your ability they are not infected with Ebola ) those 1000's of people ( he would have never come into contact with ) wouldn't exist in the first place.

The best way to avoid getting ebola is to isolate yourself from the disease.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....... therefore, restricting travel from countries affected by the outbreak would make the most sense.

People in the USA can't get infected if no disease carriers are allowed in the country and unless they're willing to swim, the only way to get here quickly is by plane.

Not rocket science here people, get a brain...
