    Hamburg School Superintendent Investigated

Hamburg, NY (WBEN) The Hamburg School Board says Village of Hamburg Police are investigating Dr. Richard Jetter.

In a brief statement, the board would not detail the nature of the investigation. Meanwhile, assistant superintendents Colleen Kaney and Barbara Sporyz will serve as acting superintendents.

Jetter says he was threatened back in May, claiming someone dented his vehicle and left a threatening note on the windshield, and later that same week, someone egged his rental car.

    According to Channel 4
Mr. Jetter claims he filed a false police report about the damage to his car.
If the report is true he should fired from his job with the Hamburg School system.

    Yep he lied
The Buffalo News reports that Jetter drove to the village police station Wednesday morning and confessed to the lie. He then returned to his school offices, told an aide about concocting the story. After that, Jetter is said to have checked himself into Brylin Hospital, The News reports.

Hamburg police are expected to release more information on the case Thursday afternoon.

The allegations are being met with dismay among parents in the district.

" For their money you would think they would get better value for their money than the last two superintendents. One who was asked to resign from his previous two positions because he was incompetent and was accused of having an improper relationship with a staff member. Now you have Jetter who creates this elaborate story about how his car was vandalized with a fake threating note., " the parent wrote .

That destroys the credibility of all of his claims. His "here's Johnny" claim wasn't very credible to begin with.

The school board should immediately vote to dismiss the proceedings that are ongoing and sue that crazy superintendent for the expenses they incurred.

For once I agree with you.
Sue Mr. Jetter and terminate him (with out pay) at once.

No, you have it all wrong! Suspend him with full pay, conduct an inestigation (cannot give details because it's a personnel issue), then after a reasonable amount of time, maybe a year or two, have him return to work due to fact that nothing could be proven. That's how it's done!

We should watch how this will play out.

He lied. He is no different than any other person that works for us. I'm using "us" as in the general tax payer even though he really works for the property owners in Hamburg.

Jetter told police he was drinking, hit pole night before vandalism report

Richard E. Jetter, now on leave from his job as the superintendent of the Hamburg Central School District, told village police Monday that he was drinking the night he hit a pole in South Buffalo – a day before he reported to police that his car was vandalized during a school board meeting, according to a statement he gave police Monday before checking into BryLin Hospital.
