Now... when things happen, Byron usually brings it up on Citistat and wants to hold people accountable. This issue, there are only wispers and that's in the lavatories after they check the stalls for occupancy

He's the short, dorky looking, balding guy with a "dork knob" pony tail. Arrogant little piss-pot! I think he's the son or cousin to the Riccione Catering people from either Lovejoy or Kaisertown...? He's been there since Griffin.

Undoubtedly the firing of Riccone is related to the ongoing HUD investigation of mishandled HUD funds at BERC.

Trouble at BERC?

A poster over at SpeakupWNY says that John Riccione, a finance officer at BERC, has been quietly fired. Peter Cutler, the mayor’s communications director, confirmed that Riccione had been let go and told me it happened about two weeks ago. Because it’s a personnel matter, he won’t say why.

The other day I was speaking to Steve Banko, the head of the regional field office for HUD, which sends money to BERC. Banko has had a team of HUD monitors working full-time in City Hall for the past few months, trying to get a handle on the city’s incredibly poor/corrupt management of the HUD money that flows through its hands to various human service organizations, housing agencies, and economic development projects. Well... 2 more employees of BERC were fired last week. I understand that, eventhough Tim Wanamaker is gone, he is in the cross hairs of the investigation. I also understand that the Feds are now involved. It will be very interesting to see how this plays out and who all is involved Any bets?
