    2007 Town Board Candidates

According to the New York State Board of Elections campaign finance filings Dirk Rabenold had a fundraiser at Bing's in August 2006 when he was not a candidate for any office.

One of his expenditures was about $400 to law firm Bouvier for legal advice. Why would he seek legal advice when he was not running for anything and is this a legitimate "campaign" expense for a campaign that doesn't exist? Isn't this the same law firm that Dan Ward sought to hire to sue the Town's outside counsel?

Also, there was a campaign contribution to Dirk Rabenold for $1,000 from a firm called Prolink in East Aurora which is a golf course management firm. Isn't Dirk Rabenold on the Recreation Commission and I understand there is a proposal regarding golf course management being reviewed by the Recreation Commission.

It would seem to me that it would be unethical for a Recreation Commission member to hold a fundraiser and accept a contribution from a company that may be submitting or submitted an RFP with the Town's Recreation Commission.

I can't see where paying a legal firm is a legitimate campaign expense for someone who isn't even running for an office.

    Rabby

He brought campaign irregularity charges against Grelick. He paid the law firm to bring the charges. They were dismissed as groundless. Meantime he had to pay the legal bills.

Why would a consulting or maketing firm called Prolink maintaining an office in East Aurora give him $1,000 to do this? Is this Jim Hayes' consulting firm? Is this Joe Bruno's consulting firm? The consulting firms currently under investigation?

Very interesting charges, who has Rabinold been seen with lately?

This information should be given to the Chair of the Recreation Commission.

Are you referring to Prolink Sports Marketing, Inc. (191 Main Street, East Aurora, NY 14052)?

    No clarification from Super Sleuth.

Notice how Super Sleuth thows "tidbits" of alleged information out. But, when called upon to provide clarification, Super Sleuth slithers away. Super Sleuth runs from anything that approaches rational.

Super Sleuth, is the "Prolink" that you referred to, the one that I cited? Is it, Super Sleuth?

Tom Dolan Under Colleen Bogdan's Spell

Does the Buffalo News realize that Town Dolan is under a spell cast on him by Republican Town Board Candidate Colleen Bogdan? How will he ever be able to report objectively about her if she should be the candidate for Town Board.

Does Republican Town Board Candidate Colleen Bogdan know how tied the Republican party is to the developer special interest groups, the very special interest groups Colleen Bogdan accuses everyone of taking money from for their elections. Does her beloved Satish know that the Amherst Republican Party which he wants to control is tied to the Amherst special interests? Wait till all the neighborhood groups that Colleen Bogdan snookered into voting for Satish find out about her ties to special interests, boy, will they feel betrayed.

Looks like Campaign 2007 is shaping up to be "business as usual"

It is now the end of February and SuperSleuth has hidden from the question.

What is your answer, Super Sleuth?
