I believe in having insurance against large catastrophic expenses. For example, I have no idea why you need insurance to have your teeth cleaned. However, if i get arrested or if I need a lawyer whose cost isn't covered by,say, homeowner's or Automobile insurance, that could be a financial catastrophe. Why don't we have insurance to protect us from exorbitant lawyer's fees? Maybe there is such a thing and I don't know about it. In fact, If all citizens were required to carry legal insurance, would that not eliminate the need for public defenders paid for by the taxpayers? Am I wrong? If this turns out to be a good idea, I claim it. I want to have the first legal insurance company, so don't steal my idea!
