A couple of weeks ago I had a laptop that I didn't even want to touch. They were telling me that the touchpad was giving them trouble. It had dried on food that was crusty. I told them I scraped off the dried off food and it works fine. The keys were horrible.

Most are not. Some people's machines are spotless while others are gross. I always clean my monitor. Finger prints would annoy me. Some computers have to be dust mite city.

Yikes... I just repaired one the other day kinda like that...

Hey Tony, I know how to fix flat screen monitors now. I just repaired 3 of my dead Viewsonic monitors I had laying around with only 24 dollars in parts for all three. If you get a monitor in that will not power up but the power light stays on or blinks, let me know - I can guide you to a simple repair that you can do your self easily. Good money maker for ya. I need nothing in return. Just want to help a fella computer repair man out.

I won't do monitors or laptop screens anymore. I used to. I send people to a guy in west seneca for screen repairs. I have a flat screen sitting on the floor you can have. It flickers.

I'll take it and see if I can get it working. Many times it is just a bad capacitor on the power board. They are real easy to remove and solder in a new ones. Hardest part is getting that dang thing apart. What is the model of the monitor?
