So was it everything you wanted it to be?
Was the winter classic something you wish you have had tickets to now that it's over?

I do wish I had tickets but wasn't going to spend $250 each to go. I hope they make it a tradition and can do it again! |

Put it this way - I never watch hockey (except for Playoffs), and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

To be there and scream "Let's go Buffalo!!!" heck yes! But I don't do well in the cold. So, as much as I would love it, to be able to endure it would mean I wouldn't remember it. I'm really wanting to see an All Star game come to Buffalo.

(disclaimer: please note that I needed to place the extra question mark in so the reply would post. Otherwise it only had 4 characters instead of the needed 5. It's nothing to do with the question at all )

I am not a hockey fan either, but I did enjoy watching it on TV, from the warmth of my house. I loved how it looked snowing on the rink.

Even though I'm not a hockey fan, I did want to go to the game - because it's an event. I just had no idea that it would sell out so quickly.
If they did it again next year (which they won't), I would have no interest in going. It wouldn't be as special. PS I hope the Bills never build a domed stadium. |

Great game, would have liked a different outcome.
The announcers sucked, Crosby, Crosby, Crosby, you would have thought he was the only player out there. (he is good, but give it a break). Then they were both talking about 5 on 4 in overtime due to the penalty. It's 4 on 3 in overtime, oh the great Canadian announcers............could complain about other stuff, but you get it, great game, terrible announce team. Winter Classic = Good tradition for hockey, hope they keep it up.

They spent about 20% of the time covering the game, and the rest of the time discussing such interesting facts as playing 'six degrees of separation' between Bob Costas and Paul Newman...Self-absorbed tripe, the entire lot of it. Which leads to the obvious...and yet again, the obvious was anything but. The fact that WGR's broadcast was not in-sync with the WGR550 radio coverage is inexcusable.
