You must be a masochist, living in a country founded by lawyers.
Were statesmen and lawyers the same thing back then?

If you are right something definately went wrong somewhere along the way

What went wrong is the philosophy changed. So, stop blaming lawyers.

BTW, the libertarian movement is the current repository of the best thought of the Founders (Jeffersonianism), and there are plenty of lawyers in that movement.

We really need to end lawyerism. It's a form of scapegoatism and as with all forms of that malady, makes you miss the point.

Question for "tort reformers" (right to due process abolitionists)--

We limit liability for nuclear power plants and vaccines. Do you support that?

(Being nothing but a subsidy to big business.)

Why do you suppose we cannot sue government? This is tort reform taken to the max!

I guess I should have been more clear in my remark. First, You can sue anybody or any entity you want. The issue is whether you can WIN a lawsuit against the government. You will not win lawsuits against the government for a great many things, for instance, you don't want to pay taxes, or your son/daughter was killed in a war. Most other lawsuits never see a courtroom. The Federal government lawyers are probably better than the lawyers that I could hire. Even if you do win a judgment against the government, the money you get will not be much. Can you give any instances of anyone getting a unusually large judgment against the government and then collecting? If I were a lawyer, I would choose a case against any Doctor before I would choose any case against the government. Maybe tort reform could follow the guidelines of suing government. Finally, you can still sue the Doctors after Tort reform. So why not have tort reform? It will absolutely save money on Health Care costs.

It's usually a war of financial attrition in court, an attorney will win either way.
