I agree about Manna. Don't envy him. But it would be to the Reps. advantage to fill the seat. Give someone a leg up on the next election.

Not if their plan is to downsize. Plus they would have the unused salary to play with if no one is appointed until a special election. And Manna should just state his position and let the rest of the board make it's own mistakes.

Barry has told people he wants to replace his seat. Odds are, it will happen.

Dale G. will get the nod. A little present for BW's campaign manager and a leg up for the next time around.

On the other hand Dale's brother in law, Dirk Rabenold, might fill the spot. He's been looking for a paying gig after all his free "community service".

Dal is a lot more aggressive than Dirk. He'll get it. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the deal he made with Barry. Some time ago, Dal was considering a run himself for the TB.

Well they should let the public vote on it to decide whether or not to fill it. Otherwise we will know it is all talk from him and his supporters.

Let the public decide? Surely you jest!

That was their platform and they better not run from it because when they run for re-election, I'll make sure to have money for billboards saying how they make the choices for the public instead of letting the public choose. I don't think that will get them re-elected.

I think their only choices are leave it empty until referendum, or appoint Popowich. But then again, no one calls them on what they actually do, so we will probably get Barry's choice. Maybe the Buffalo News will cover the inconsistency.

Well Sander was all about listening to the people, doing what they want, etc....

Popowich came in fourth...that means the "PEOPLE" wanted Popowich enough to vote for her, so it would be natural to fill the seat with her. I remember a couple of Republicans last year talked about filling the seat with the 4th place person from the last election.

I'm taking bets that Sanders or anyone else from the puppet team will not bring her name forward.

This woman got over 10K votes!! I would like to see Popowich take a seat on the TB! Yes, it appears that the PEOPLE wanted Popowich! Why does anyone else not see this!

She came in 4th place in this contest. "The people" didn't want her, she had her shot. Popowich seemed to be a genuine person, but sadly, she didn't have a winning message.

I believe the contest you're thinking of is horse shoes.

Like I said, 10K+ people voted for Ramona Popowich. The vote was a contest for 3 seats, which became 4 seats with the election of Weinstein! Therefore, I think the TB would be justified in a selection of Popowich for the 4th seat! I would rather see an appointment with that logic than the cronyism that we WILL see! (ie. Jaeger for TC) The "people" won't want Schratz or Raebenold either! The Republicans are adept at doing these things!
