Drat why not - the D row is conservative! (I know what you really meant).

This looks like the best option. Is there anything that would keep you in Cheektowaga?

!

I only can think of starting a year long education campaign telling towns people how important voting during these kinds of elections that change will not happen if they sit home, only change will happen when you vote the same old people out of office for new, fresh, minds, with young new ideas; then change can happen.

D-JAWOROWICZ, PATRICIA A Totals 4,637 20%
D-KAZNOWSKI, STANLEY J III Totals 4,691 21%
D-ROGOWSKI, JAMES P Totals 4,644 20%

20+21+20=61%

R-HEYMANOWSKI, ROGER 2,817 12%
R-KACZOROWSKI, JOHN J Totals 3,193 14%
R-KARNATH, JOSEPH W JR 2,721 12%

12+14+12=38%

We would need about 3% of the populous in order to overcome the Cheektowaga Union vote. 3% of the population of Cheektowaga. Can't we get that number of people to come out and vote?

TURN-OUT 13%, things could be different if only it was 16%

It is where I grew up. I will look into my options. I wonder what would happen if all the Republicans flipped?

Well, back around seven years ago, I wanted to try to make changes in my Town in order to lower taxes and try to make it a desirable place to live and work. I figured my best option, as a registered Republican, would be to get involved in the Republican Committee and help conservative Republicans get elected in the Town of Cheektowaga. I have finally come to the conclusion that this is an impossible task given the state of the electorate in Cheektowaga. I really only have 3 choices.

1. Continue along the same path as the 7 previous unfruitful years.

This option is the worst of all as I have put in lots of time, money and effort while getting a zero return on my investment. I have spent some seven years of my life, countless hours stolen away from my family pursuing what now seems to be an unattainable result.

2. Flip to the only Political Party that this Town recognizes. Even though I really do enjoy being around those that are like minded with myself I am sure that there are conservative Democrats. By becoming a Democrat I believe that I would be more successful in trying to change the tax and spend policies of the present Cheektowaga Town government.

3. Move to a town where people don't care if one is a Republican or Democrat but instead just want their Town to be a place where people can live together at a reasonable tax rate, adequate services and Business friendly policies that provide jobs to its citizens.

I will spend some time thinking and praying about my options. Then I will choose what its best and move on to it.

Just as an aside: I really don't understand why people are so closed minded.
