Erie County Elections

Nice to see many of those democratic bums unseated this year. This is showing me that people are sick of the SPEND SPEND SPEND mentality of the Democratic party.

We need to start preparing now to unseat the criminals Stachowski and Thompson for next year.

Any ideas?

Ya, "Give me back my bullets" - wait, that song was about position in song rank not guns - but guns would work in this case.

It really is a shame that so many people ran unopposed. One can only hope that an increase in "downtown" residents will soon change the voting in 3 and 2.

What's shocking to me is the turnout. Where is the outrage or the support really when the turnout is 20%? Maybe most people are satisfied with the status quo? Or too fed up to vote? Or they couldn't figure out those paper ballots and went home? For all the $ that was poured into these races it was a very poor response.

Fun fact: The 20% turnout is bad - now I don't have actual numbers but - break it down (Maybe keyboard can help here) - it only takes 50.1% of that 20% of the population to take Control City, Town or Village Governments.

I haven't looked at this year's numbers at all. I'm so concerned about the 2010 elections I haven't looked at '09 at ALL, and I probably won't.

Stachowski and Thompson. Getting them the hell off of their thrones. Those are the two biggies.

In a three way race it goes down to 33.4% of that 20% or about 6% of registered voters.

Just did the math in a three way race based on a 20% turnout 7.667% of the total registered voters will determine the outcome.
