The Supervisor could let the residents vote on the issue of down sizing.

So Diane is the one that wanted someone appointed or are you referring to Mary the past Supervisor?

Where have you read about the new Supervisor spending more money because of appointments and personal changes. Her phone is always available for calls.

Diane got back to me as always.

Yes, at first she wanted the position filled but after hearing the public comments she pulled the motion and will wait to let the tax payers vote on it.

Now we have to see if we can get all our town employees on ObamaCare. I know we have more than 50 employees but at DTwarren pointed out there could be penalties if the employer decides not to offer healthcare and have employees us an exchange. We need to outweigh the penalties against the never ending cost increases.

I want to see property tax cuts now not 25 years from now. How many more people must our town lose before common sense kicks in? You can't be the highest taxed town in the area and offer the same or less services than competing towns.

We also need to stop automatic pay raised based on nothing at all. That is what is what it is when you boil it down. Raises based on nothing more than time served is not a reason for a raise.

Perhaps DTwarren can sight some factual information or links that would help us understand what this actually means, "DTwarren pointed out there could be penalties if the employer decides not to offer healthcare and have employees use an exchange"

The Employer Mandate / Employer Penalty Delayed Until 2015 / 2016

The ObamaCare Employer Mandate / Employer Penalty, originally set to begin in 2014, was delayed until 2015 / 2016. ObamaCare’s “employer mandate” is a requirement that all businesses with 50 or more full-time equivalent employees (FTE) provide health insurance to at least 95% of their full-time employees and dependents up to age 26, or pay a fee by 2016.

The employer mandate is officially part of the Employer Shared Responsibility Provision. Under the Affordable Care Act, the federal government, state governments, insurers, employers, and individuals are given shared responsibility to reform and improve the availability, quality, and affordability of Health Insurance Coverage in the United States.

IMPORTANT: If an employer owes the fee because they didn’t cover workers, it’s a flat $2,000 per full-time employee (excluding first 30 employees). If only a few end up with unaffordable coverage or if that coverage doesn’t meet minimum value standards, it’s $3,000 per full-time employee who got cost assistance (but, never more than $2,000 per full-time employee). The fee is always per-month, so it’s always 1/12 of those annual totals for each month.

    How the Employer Mandate Works

Firms with 100 or more full-time equivalent employees (FTE) will need to insure at least 70% of their full-time workers by 2015 and 95% by 2016. Small businesses with 50-99 FTE will need to start insuring full-time workers by 2016. The mandate does not apply to employers with 49 or less FTE.

    I gave you the answer

Diane got back to me as always.

Yes, at first she wanted the position filled but after hearing the public comments she pulled the motion and will wait to let the tax payers vote on it.

Then I thought about this. We need people who will work with Diane instead of working against her to make needed changes in our town.

I was basically told this by someone who is knowledgeable

Frank will use Jimmy, Jerry and Christine to be a royal pain in Diane's side challenging her on every issue. I'm pretty sure you are involved with the entire group so wouldn't you agree? Isn't that how factions in the "Cheektowaga Democratic Party" work? Mark's people against Frank's people? All at the property/business owners expense... "Our hands are tied" Our town needs to focus on the group that tied are hands. Wouldn't you agree?

This BS will render Diane ineffective because she wont get the support she needs from the board. Maybe we fill that spot with someone who really wants to see positive change in our town instead of people who are self serving or frankly incompetent.

    I don't really know.

I think most that work for us mean well but then you have those who's self interest is more important than property owners best interest.
