    The deadline approachs -

If I have it correct - 11/16/2015 is the next Town Board Meeting !

Will there be a notice of retirement/resignation in the next Town Board agenda ?

Not sure of the legalities concerning "Public Notice" - but the question remains :

Will Town Clerk Johanna Coleman Metz retire as Town Clerk ?

There's no more ignoring the issue or hiding from the truth - she has to come clean whether she wants to or not ! She has to file her NYS Pension forms and make it legal.

They've hid it well for almost a year - nothing new for Town Hall though ! Our Town Clerk is real good at keeping the paper work in order - almost as good as she has been at hiding the facts at the same time !

The whole Town will now know how the "Double Dip Plan" works for elected and appointed Players !

Will the new Madam Supervisor Johanna Coleman Metz break the Town record for tax funded DOUBLE DIP ?

Not sure as far as NYS is concerned - I think the usual is a 30 day filing or you can file and withdraw within the 30 days. There has to be a "Break" in employment - not sure of for how long !

The State could deny her request for a waiver - that would change the whole financial picture ! They should look at this as a scheme to defraud - she knew she was gonna run for higher Office - she knew by getting elected that lines her up to "Double Dip" - the State should be looking at that ! Its a "Planned event"

    Tick ! Tock !
    - the truth is coming
    - voters and taxpayers have been played
    - now Johanna and friends get Paid !
    - Tick ! Tock !

Johanna, you can come out now !

Heres the point - they just keep getting reelected and they just keep digging into our pockets !

Past history/facts about to be repeated because the Votes went their way !

Councilman Donna Stempniak knew, the Town Clerk and Town Board knew - yet she ran for reelection and wasn't honest with tax payers about her plan : check this link http://www.speakupwny.com/forums/sho...-Lancaster-PBA

    Heres how it worked :
The one-week resignation was necessary so Stempniak could transfer her town pension into her teaching pension, officials in the New York State Retirement System said.
The move increased the salary that Stempniak's teacher pension calculation was based on and resulted in her pension being based on the more generous Tier 2 pension system, rather than Tier 3, officials said.
Stempniak's pension is about $1,000.00 a month greater than it would have been without the town pension credits; however, she can no longer accrue pension credits even though she remains on the Lancaster Town Board.
Stempniak is currently eligible for a $67,044.00 annual pension, but she elected to collect less now, and defer a portion to the future. She continues to collect her $18,467.00 board pay.
Lancaster officials were supportive of Stempniak's pension maneuver, noting that they save about $1,600 annually by no longer paying into the retirement system for her.(they saved nothing - they helped her collect a enhanced life time pension and full tax funded Town Paycheck -

Now Town Clerk Johanna Coleman will be next - all the inside players knew it - she planned it and the Campaign Committee and her advisers helped her keep it quiet ! Isn't that like some kind of fraud perpetrated on the tax payers and voters ?

So from 2008 until 2015 - Coucilmember Stempniak collected:
    $67,000.00 a year tax free = $670,000.00
    $18,450.00 a year T.C.Pay = $184,500.00
    $854,500.00 (+/-)

Plus her contract benefits as a school teacher. Healthcare and such average $12,00.00 - so possibly another $120,000.00

    Now lets look at:
Town Clerk/Madam Supervisor Johanna Coleman Metz serves just 4 years as Supervisor.

    $67,000.00 x 4 = $268,000.00 tax free retirement checks.
    $12,000.00 x 4 = $48,000.00 tax funded benefits
    $51,000.00 x 4 = $204,000.00 Supervisor pay

    That's $510,000.00 (+/-) just for a four year term !

Plus tax funded benefits as Supervisor and or any other stipends she can gather going forward ! We haven't even considered vacation buy outs and other perks !

How many more elected or appointed employees are gonna be eligible for these tax funded Golden Parachutes ?

How much more can we afford ?

I'm interested to see if she restores the benefits that Fudoli gave back, like a town vehicle, cell phone and the extra stipends.

If she had anything to do with the budget amendments the council members put forth, there was no stipend for budget director added to the budget. They did increase increase mileage by $400.

Cool When will Johanna admit her plan ?

I thought about how the media would report this - Gorja had a point about $7000.00 savings . So I guess this should be considered into the equation !

    $854,500.00 (+/-) Minus the claimed $70,000.00 savings = $784,500.00 (+/-)

    - $784,500.00 (+/-) she collected out of which $670,000.00 was tax free !
    - Plus her contract benefits as a school teacher. Healthcare and such average $12,00.00 - so possibly another $120,000.00(+/-)

But her fellow Lan Dem Town Officials were supportive of her move as they claim a $7000.00 yearly savings !

    Now lets look at:
Town Clerk/Madam Supervisor Johanna Coleman Metz serves just 4 years as Supervisor.

    $67,000.00 x 4 = $268,000.00 (+/-) tax free retirement checks.

Plus tax funded benefits as Supervisor and or any other stipends she can gather going forward ! We haven't even considered vacation buy outs and other perks ! But they will also find a way to add a spin and some how spin it by claiming a savings to the Town ! Most likely they will claim she suffered a minor pay cut as Supervisor - this to justify taking an extra $67,000.00 a year in tax free pension !

So while they inflate their tax funded pensions - which Lancaster tax payers fund - we can all be happy because they might have stretched the truth enough to pretend a savings was had.

How many more elected or appointed employees are gonna be eligible for these tax funded Golden Parachutes ?

Its a overt scheme/plan to inflate tax funded pensions ! Close the loop whole !

How much more can we afford ?

    No More hiding -

They hid this ever sense she decided to run for Town Supervisor !
This is their idea of "Open Honest Public Service"

Soon we will see Town Clerk Johanna Coleman Metz will make it official. She will retire from the Town Clerks Office. Then she will come back as our new Madam Supervisor - Lancaster's newest "Double Dip Public Servant"

She will begin to collect two tax funded pay checks
    - one tax funded pay check and hoist of benefits as Supervisor
    - one tax funded life time Town Clerk retirement check plus what ever tax funded life time tax funded benefits that comes with that position.

    Two checks for Madam Supervisor

Did you read about the Republican county legislator who had intentions of double-dipping but screwed it up?

Updated: 1:04 PM ET December 4
Mills Retiring from Erie County Legislature
BREAKING: Insiders are buzzing that the chairman of the Erie County Legislature, Republican John Mills, has filed his retirement papers with the county personnel department. This could lead to a big 2016 general election which will re-ignites the fight for majority control of the legislature. Stay tuned, we'll report more as this develops.

Mills not retiring, paperwork was an error
This statement just in from Erie County Legislature chairman John Mills:

"This afternoon a rumor appeared that I am retiring from the Legislature. This is completely false. Just yesterday I obtained the signatures of all of my legislative colleagues from both sides of the aisle to serve another term as Chairman of the Legislature. I am very much looking forward to continuing in that role and serving my constituents for another two years."

In fact, PoliticsNY.net was alerted earlier today to Mills' filing of retirement paperwork with the Erie County personnel office. As filed, his paperwork was dated after he would be sworn in for his new term as a legislator. As a result, his retirement would have created a vacancy and threw majority control back to the voters in 2016. Mills' Republican Party held on to that majority by a razor's edge in November elections and a special election to replace him would have strongly favored a Democrat.

In fact, Mills had zero intentions to vacate his seat in 2016. He intended to retire before he was sworn in for a new term and begin collecting 30 years of retirement pay along with his salary as a newly sworn-in County Legislator for 2016-2017. Realizing his mistake, the Chairman completely rescinded all paperwork and Erie County personnel contacted New York State retirement officers to make them aware.

He no longer is filing anything at all.

Apparently, he is one of those Republicans that would screw up a wet dream
