Trump said that immigrants from Mexico were rapists - he didn't say illegal immigrants were criminals.

We should gain control of our borders to keep out illegal immigrants. But that is not what Trump said. Trump specified Mexican immigrants in general, then lied about the statistics of immigrants and crime to try to justify is ignorant remarks.

If you want to have an intelligent discussion about illegal immigrants, you have to leave Donald Trump out of the panel.

He'll make comments even though there is some truth to some that will keep him from ever being elected.

The problem with this particular issue is the conversation that is being crafted is not the conversation we need to have. Just because someone gets in front of a camera or a mic does not mean they should be a voice for something.

    Well....that didn't take long.

Undocumented Immigrants Are Working On Trump's Fancy New DC Hotel

Undocumented immigrants are among the construction workers on real estate mogul and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's new Washington, D.C. luxury hotel project, The Washington Post reported Monday.

Trump has garnered headlines and lost several business relationships in the days since his June 16 presidential announcement speech, in which he branded immigrants crossing the U.S. border with Mexico as "rapists" and drug dealers.

Yet when the Post recently spoke with about 15 of the workers renovating the Old Post Office Pavilion on Pennsylvania Avenue to turn it into the Trump International Hotel, the newspaper found that many had crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally before gaining citizenship or other legal status. Some said they remained in the country illegally.

The workers also made it clear that they didn't appreciate Trump's anti-immigrant diatribes.

“It’s something ironic,” one worker from Mexico who obtained legal status, Ivan Arellano, told the Post. “The majority of us are Hispanics, many who came illegally. And we’re all here working very hard to build a better life for our families.”

I have to admit this is a good response..

Donald Trump’s Response to Being “Dropped” By ESPN and NASCAR is Legendary

Donald Trump’s stance on illegal immigration made headlines the world over, but I’m not sure liberals understand why. What the Donald said was accurate, in that the illegals we get here in the states are breaking the law from day one, and some of them go on to commit heinous criminal acts like the one we just saw in the sanctuary city of San Francisco.

Not to worry, the probably incorrect Trump will end up a footnote in the 2016 election, just like Herman and his 999.

Only if your definition of "people" is limited to those under the age of 16.

They should have taken a little longer to get the facts straight...
"Mr. Trump, who is the 100% owner of the Old Post Office [where the new hotel is being built], hired one of the largest contractors in the world to act as the general contractor," Michael Cohen, executive vice president and special counsel to Trump, told the newspaper. "That company is Lend Lease. They then go out and employ subcontractors to work for them.

"The obligation to check all workers on site is exclusive to Lend Lease," Cohen added. "This of course assumes that the assertion regarding the employees' status is accurate."

Additionally, Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks emailed Business Insider the following:

Trump International Hotel, Washington DC has hired Lend Lease, a globally recognized construction management firm, to oversee construction at the Old Post Office and requires all contractors performing work at the project to follow all applicable federal, state and local laws. Our contractors are required to have prospective employees produce documentation that establishes identity and employment eligibility in compliance with immigration law. Lend Lease and the Trump Organization have worked on many large development projects together and have always used best in class practices above and beyond what is required by law.

I can't say much for his foot in mouth episodes but at least he is not another career politician.

He actually built something without Obama. Calling out the ridiculousness of our current immigration enforcement or lack thereof policies gets kudos. Almost 3/4 of federal drug possession sentences in 2014 were due to illegals. How nice for us to live in Wny without serious immigration problems.

I like anyone that crams economic reality down the throats of Americans hooked on debt, deficit spending, government spending bubbles etc etc. Americans will vote for any clown that lets them keep their heads up their asses and their hands outstretched supine. I defy anybody to tell me how this ends well. You ain't seen nothin yet. Oh btw guess where NY is ranked on pension security? Socialist fools.

Nobody gets elected for telling the truth, and Americans still desire to hear fairy tales. Idiots
