You seem wise enough to realize that all political actions have reactions and repercussions.
A miniscule number of activists swayed your opinion of a word and now a substantial number of citizens will vote their approval or disapproval on May 19.
You should be happy, on May 20 your side could be victorious and if not you still have your sense of moral superiority to comfort you.
I'll have but a brief respite to wonder what tradition will be arbitrarily deemed outrageously insensitive next.
My guess is that whatever it might be, political passions will be harnessed as both weapon and shield...
