    Regardless of who does or doesn't own/buy the race track there should be no further tax breaks or enhanced packages offered.

    What ever goes in there or remains there - let it stand on its own merits.

    All to often the only thing tax break or in lue payments do is insure a given profit level for investor/owners.

    Its just another form of tax payers subsidizing profits.

    Dissolve the IDA.

    Sorry to hear the race track deal fell through.

    That said, I agree with your four first paragraphs and disagree with the abolishment of the LIDA. The LIDA serves a purpose when it follows its original intent of aiding industry and bringing jobs to the town. The race track should not have been considered eligible for a PILOT.

    What are the core cause's of loss of jobs and industry?

    devalued currency
    laws
    taxes
    regulations
    fees

    Concentrate on the guts not on the paint.

    Truth is every business should stand on its own merit. We cannot subsidize select businesses and expect other businesses to be ok with it on the backs of taxpayers.

    If you can't make it on your own, don't start the business.
