    Back to school!!

Ok so I am attempting to fill out crap so i can get back into school in january. As I fill out the financial aide crap, I think to myself I am going to flip crap if I don't get any aide. I almost going to have to use the school day care at ecc, I wonder if i will qualify for help with that.

How efed up would that be if welfare rats can live off the system, while people trying to make their lives better can't get assistance for school because their husband works a decent job. I have a feeling I won't qualify for much but people are telling me obama's stimulus has money for me to go back to school even though my husband works.

Now I know some will be reading this and think, i don't want my tax dollars going to this skank's education but think about it. Wouldn't you rather them go for my higher education then my welfare neighbors lifestyle?

Why can't other family members watch your kids for free? Why should tax payers baby sit for you at ecc?

See I would do that, but they all work. A friend told me Ecc daycare is cheap though and if i don't qualify for assistance then I could probably budget it in somehow.
    I
honestly would prefer to have family babysit, the idea of strangers taking care of my 2 year old (she will be almost 2 when i start) freaks me out.

I'd ask my parents to pay for it but they give to much money to campaigns to afford it.. (i'm totally exaggerating)

That will be fine until i start the ot assistance program next fall, which has clinicals and stuff i need to attend in the day. I don't know if any of the ot classes are offered at night either. It sucks because i would do all the classes at night.

I worked full time and went to school part time nights.
I got no aid because I worked full time.
I put all tuition on student loans and credit cards. Paid it off a little less then a year after I graduated.
Its not easy but finding excuses why you cant do it isnt gonna git r done!

Then again I waited to have kids until the wife and I finished our higher learning....many sacrafices are made when children our brought into the world...education is one of them.

you guys are jumping all over her for wanting to go back to school now instead of waiting - she SAID that she would more than likely be able to pay the cost of daycare while attending school.

Subsidized school is NOTHING like welfare and should not be attacked as such. If that was the case everyone of your children would be paying FULL tuition when they go to college -

how many of you are willing to NOT fill out any applications for student aid for your own childs education? Tell me that ...... and if you say when your child goes to college you are not even going to look at those forms, you are lying .........

Back in the days I went to college I recieved Tap and Pell and I also took out loans - I paid my own way, my parents threw me a few bucks here and there when they could ......... I have never been on welfare and I dont think I ever will be (God Willing) - however aid for higher education cannot be compared to welfare.

as an FYI to anyone under age 25 reading this thread....

between tap, and Pell you should clear almost 4K a semester.
I believe in the Constitution, maybe you should too.

    Thank you

I don't even know what i will qualify for. I may have to pay most of it with loans. I am going to try to get the financail aide because I would be crazy not too.
Also I am going to ECC because it is a cheaper school where if I have to take out loans it will only be for two years and it won't be too much.

Geez Rez, The idea is to go now. If you wait till the kids are older, who knows what will be going on. As far as family watching the kids, that's not always possible. Grandparents and siblings have to work too. Everything is not just black and white.

Good for you for wanting to go to school. Do whatever you can to do it. I'm sure just about everyone here who went to school applied for/received tap and pell. I certainly don't consider it a handout, it's more like a helping hand.
