here ya go end of the pipe line BS. "Pipeline location clogs fall in area’s gas prices" .. What about these crooks when the gas goes up this area should be the last in the country for that.. They raise the price on gas that's in the ground that is already paid for..look into that politicians

Have a friend that hauls this gas everyday from PA not to far from here he told me its all BS and NOCO is controlling the prices a lot of it..

Why aren’t gasoline prices in the Buffalo Niagara region falling faster?

While the national average price of a gallon of gas is just a few pennies above $2 and expected to dip below that benchmark in a matter of days, motorists in the Buffalo Niagara region, where gas prices averaged $2.57 a gallon on Friday, are paying the second-highest prices in the lower 48 states, according to gasoline pricing website GasBuddy.com.

Federal energy officials say a big reason for the slower drop in gas prices here is the Buffalo Niagara region’s location at the end of two major pipelines that supply petroleum products to Western New York.

Because it can take nine or 10 days for gasoline to move from refineries in Philadelphia or storage terminals in the New York City Harbor to reach Buffalo, local gas prices can be slower to move when there are big fluctuations in energy prices, according to analysts at the U.S. Energy Information Administration.“It’s unfortunate that Buffalo is at the end of the system,” said Michael Newman, executive vice president at NOCO Energy Corp., the Town of Tonawanda gas station and convenience store operator. “It puts some constraints on the system.”

The informal federal review, conducted in response to a request from state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, also noted that it’s not unusual for gasoline prices in the Buffalo Niagara region to change more slowly than they do nationally, especially during volatile times.

“When gasoline prices are increasing, Buffalo gasoline prices tend to increase more slowly,” the EIA analysis said. “When gasoline prices are decreasing, as has recently been the case, Buffalo gasoline prices decrease more slowly, lagging decreases in New York State and national average prices.”

There’s no question that prices locally have not been falling as rapidly as they have across the country.

WNY average $2.54... The average price per gallon of gas in California is $2.43.

Some gas prices in NYC.. $2.05. $2.08,$2.10 six months ago they were higher than ours.. How could that be when they are at the beginning of the pipe line..
More BS on this end of the pipeline crap for this area..

Oh how these idiot politicians love to do this. more money for bridge and road work..

This nonsense of aplying sales tax based on the other taxes is BS. We need a side by side comparison of taxes between WNY and the places with the lowest priced fuel.

$4.40 for kerosene at the Tonawanda Indian res still. The other part of this "investigation" should focus on why the less refined kerosene and diesel are higher than gas now. That never used to be the case.

    1. Diesel demand in Europe is very high now.
    2. Ultra Low Sulfur content Diesel which came into market I think in 2005ish costs more to manufacture.

But only 4.4 cents I think in NYS. That doesn't fully explain the price difference.

Gas continues to fall around the country seems like the gas station crooks are keeping gas prices around here about $2.48 for the past 9 days. cheapest around $2.43 transit and walden. smoking joes chief white owl and the indians playing games with prices in the past few days on the res. one day its up 10 cents then the next day it down 10 cents
I think the indians are drinking to much fire water.. and ripping off the customers. no need for this BS ...
    NYC $2.o1 lowest Albany $2.18
Syrcause $1.95 and prices are still falling in that area.

And yet many still flock to the res to buy gas, thinking that saving that 15-20 cents a gallon and how they are sticking it to the man. Meanwhile Smoking Joe hoses you for a profit of 20 or more cents per gallon on his uncertified pumps. If you local gas station took that much in profit you would be burning him down.

Actually Bob it shows how much the Gov-mint profits. Smokin Joe can be 20 cents cheaper and still make 20 cents a gallon. Government robs us for almost 70 cents.

Anyone know how the investigation is going on the high gas prices in this area? No word from the goofball politicians in the county leg...
Gas went up a little around here delta on walden still at 2.43, from what I see most are over 2.50 a gal. Are people really that dumb why would you pay 11 cents more a gal at green fog when you go across the street and get it cheaper. So the gas will go up a little because of the making of summer blend gas by big oil.. What a lot of BS that is.
As for going to the res in irving don't waste your time smoking joes is about 20 cent cheaper than delta sonic.. no saving with chief white owl they are really holding the prices up.
prices in syracuse 2.15 is the lowest to about 2.34.... Rochester 2.34 the lowest.

now these politicians are crying about the gas tax and making not enough money to fix the roads...In describing the problem, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) said, "We have gas taxes, which are stagnant. We have transportation construction costs, which are going up. And then we've got federal revenue, which is declining. All of those is a toxic formula. We've got to take matters into our own hands."

since the gas station crooks in this area keep the prices high because we are at the end of the pipe and the slowest in the US to lower the prices.it should take a long time for the gas to go up... right ..wrong three stations in the area raised their prices 10 cents in one day on the same gas that is still in their tanks that already has been paid for..
I wonder if the politicians are going to look at this..

so the gas station crooks got their 12 cent a gal more because of the blend switch. so now the prices are falling lets see if they drop 12 cents in the next 12 days. thats as fast as they raised it in the past week and a half
U.S. oil prices slid to a fresh six-year low Tuesday on expectations domestic crude stockpiles rose to a record high.

Light, sweet oil for April is down at $43.46 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, lowest since March 11, 2009. also today.
Saudi Arabia said on Sunday it would not cut output
