How to block txt msgs from certain people

Some of my 'friends' who shall remain nameless, dont understand that I am on a prepaid plan, and continue to send me tons of useless txt msgs. IS there a way to BLOCK them from sending me txts all the time short of changing my number?

I had to do the same thing.

Try calling your wireless carrier and have them block text messaging.

But remember this will block all text messaging.
I dont believe you can block a select few

I get a few international ones every month, mostly from Iceland.

After a little research on Babelfish I realized I was stuck in a lovers triangle:

Text Message: You want to sex me?
    Me: No
    Text Message: Bring girlfriend.
    Me: No
    Text Message: I'll bring Topas.
Me: I have plenty. It tastes like ****.
    Text Message: I taste you.

And on and on it goes, at $1.50 per message. At some point this guy will figure out that I'm a dude, and bringing Topas to a party is like bringing an Electrolux to a bar mitzvah. It sucks, and nobody showed up to watch you peel the label off.

There's nothing you can do about it FMD. Make the most out of a f'd up situation.

I dont think if you open them you are charged for them. I gave up and got the plan after numerous numbers of clients texted me all the time. Depending on who is texting you and if its business or not, you might want to reconsider a plan. It is obviously the way of the world now .

How about just telling them "I'm on a prepaid plan, please don't text me unless it's an emergency."

I get the impression that he has told them, but they either forget or they're too stupid to understand. Most people FMD's age have unlimited texting and seem to think everyone else does as well.

Did anyone ever get "wrong number" text messages?

I got one the other day and I hope it was just an accident.

If it happens again it will creep me out.

I used to get "spam" type porn or gambling site text advertisements but those have hopefully stopped-- maybe the company cracked down on it.

I used to be a huge texter.... well jhuge in the range of 500 or so txts a month.... But since switching to prepaid, I send maybe 50 a month.

My neighbor sends on average 12,000 txts a month...

It would be nice to block txt msgs from certain numbers tho
