    Things I don't care about

I could care less about a person's "right" to own a gun. Hunting reasons aside, I see no reason why anyone needs to own a gun

I'm not looking for this to turn into a thread about guns (although a new thread would be fine); I simply want to know what pressing issue others don't
    care about.

The way I see it, you can't care about everything.

    I like this thread!

Being a thirtysomething suburban mom here are some things that I am often inundated with that I have to admit I DON'T CARE ABOUT:

    Scrapbooking Parties!
If I get invited to one more yuppie mom "Scrapbooking Party" I am going to scream! Scream I tell you! First of all who the heck has the time to sit around scrapbooking, huh? Most of us in this day and age have all our our kids' pictures saved on our computers and we never have the time to actually go to the drug store and get them printed out let alone put them in a scrapbook. And the thing about these scrapbooking parties also is that they want you to PAY to go to them! HELLO?! If you want me to be there you shouldn't make me PAY to listen to a sales pitch! Oh, and the "scrapbooking kits" they sell at these parties are upwards of $100 to $350! You have got to be kidding me! I can go to Michael's or A.C. Moore and get the same stuff for $10 to $12! This whole scrapbooking thing also makes moms like me feel guilty that we don't have extra hundreds of dollars and tons of free time to buy and create scrapbooks... Now don't get me wrong, I do think the idea is cute and I would like to at least attempt a scrapbook some day, but when and if I do it will not be from a yuppie mom overpriced sticker purveyor.

    Mary Kay or Tupperware Parties
Again, why would I pay $30.00 for an eyeshadow THAT DOESN'T EVEN COME WITH A CONTAINER? They think you are gonna buy a loose thing of eyeshadow and then PAY EXTRA for a plastic case for it! Puh-leeeze! You can buy eyeshadow at the drug store a lot cheaper! I prefer Avon to Mary Kay! An Avon lady could kick a Mary Kay broad's behind any day! Why? Because Avon ladies let you buy lipstick and then THEY SHUT UP ABOUT IT AND LEAVE YOU ALONE! Oh, and Avon's stuff is priced reasonably, not fifteen thousand times more than what it costs at Walgreens. And Tupperware broads, oh you know who you are! Why should I pay $30.00 for a PLASTIC CUP when I can buy a plastic cup at the freakin' dollar store for a buck!

    That's what I don't care about...
I'm just here to make people laugh. And to confuse people. Oh, and to irritate people.

OMG! I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but I'm so happy my kids are teenagers so I don't find myself caught up in "scrapbooking." And where did that word come from anyway!!!!!!!

Gay marriage. If a gay person wants to get married, so what? With a divorce rate hovering around 50 percent, I wish them better luck than so-called "straight" people who have married.

And here is another mom based thing that I don't care about:

    DESIGNER CLOTHES FOR CHILDREN

Puh-leez. These yuppie moms who have to buy designer clothes for their kids make me sick. THE KIDS DON'T CARE IF THEY ARE WEARING DESIGNER CLOTHES! THEY DON'T CARE WHAT COOL BRAND IT IS OR WHAT TRENDY STORE THE CLOTHES CAME FROM! IF IT HAS A PICTURE OF A BUNNY ON IT THEY THINK IT'S COOL... And they are just gonna drool on them, spill food on them and stain them anyways...

Anyone parent who spends that much time and money on their kid's clothes are only doing it for themselves. Sometimes I even sell garage sale listings, garage sale listings for crying out loud, that say "designer kid's clothes."

Betchya it's those scrapbooking moms who are the same ones buying the designer baby clothes...

I couldn't care less about what anyone thinks about parking tickets or casinos or Giambra, or the Peace Bridge, or Satish Mohan or the State Legislature or any local political issues. That's why it's threads like these is where you find me. Discussions of USA and World politics aren't AS boring, but local politics...somebody, please get me a pillow.

    I could care less about...

Holidays. Who cares about new years, valentines, St patrick, Easter, and so on. The only one I care about is Thanksgiving.

I don't care about who won the lottery, if it wasn't me, it doesn't matter.
I don't care about people who don't care about other people.
I don't care what people use to clean their kitchen, toilet, or bathtubs; although I must say that "Shower Power" does a mighty fine job.
I don't care that everyone at Wegmans is in a hurry; it's not my problem, so don't run me down with your cart or I'll swear at you.

That is so true! WHAT is it about the rude people at Wegmans? Just the other day I had my toddler in a shopping cart in front of the dairy case. An older woman was trying to walk by and I smiled sweetly and was just about ready to move my cart out of the way when the old broad made a loud annoyed sigh and PUSHED my cart out of the way!

I've had people growl and bark at me when it's a busy day at Wegmans.

"I see no reason why anyone needs to own a gun"

Pretty radical position that the government shouldn't own guns.

    Wow!

I don't care about celebrities who die, until I can find the time to individually mourn every other casualty. Thousands and thousands of more innocent and younger and unfortunate souls that we never hear about die every day without a thought, so I have no extra feeling for the famous when they croak.
