Wow.... this is how dumb all three are squeaky tony, rev tom , and the mouth. they want to have the kids from Lancaster and the other two Indian schools and talk about the redskins name.. Its not the kids they want to play its the Indian parents that have their nose in it. If your going to debate the name you have to bring in the tribe smoke the pipe and bring in the Lancaster parents or the people that don't want the name changed.. then talk.
So give squeaky voice tony a feather in his hair and let them debate it. Not the kids... the three stooges need to wake up.

OMG anti union.... mouth this morning crying that NYS would be the last state in the union to get opt out.. I have nothing against a choice but if you listened to the callers lot of them union people said they would get screwed by their employer if there was no union.. the nurse that called in was right on. I seen it for 35 years didn't always agree with the union but if you didn't have one.. management would hang you out to dry. As for the mouth and the rev. they are anti union because of the public sector and their unions. teachers, cops, highway workers dmv workers all the people they would talk about over the years. Like I always said don't like your job move on... CSX is hiring big time union, good money, bennies, pension. could you see these two working on a railroad they wouldnt last the 6 weeks of training.

I am quite sure even though you don't intentionally listen to him - you only accidentally heard him while trying to get a weather report -

I am sure he appreciates you being a listener .

Isnt it funny how so many people listen to him and debate his show - unintentionally.

I do too - by accident of course -

You're obviously being facetious, but due to their monopoly in the marketplace---by design (thanks telecom Act!), WBEN has many listeners by default. That is, people who want to hear news/talk, particularly the service elements like weather, traffic and news---but who haphazardly hear their wingnut hosts.

Many don't search them out, but listen incidentally. It happens. Eventually, all of the normal people will find other audio sources---as I have done--- and WBEN will be left with nothing but a dwindling, aging, out-of-touch, wingnut audience.

I guess your right - it just sounds like allot of the posts about how foolish he sounds - or how he hurts the station = allot of people listening by accident.

I know the search button on my radio changes stations after a few seconds. Not saying your wrong - but just seems many people enjoy listening and then spend allot of time convincing others who don't like him that they don't actually listen ? ! ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ that's about three seconds!

Maybe you could admit he actually makes you think about things - or - makes you mad or some thing other than "I did it on accident" - is that like a defense thing ?

My daughter used to use that - "I ate all the cookies - on accident" -

I only listen cause I am waiting for the real news to begin

I see your point - so you listen to him too

Like I said - on your car radio - theres a knob - it turns clock wise and counter clock wise. Or if you have a new one - tap one of the buttons - I think they say "Tune" and find a new station. You take his off your presets - and bingo - no more strange voices.

Now I know like your other Tom hateing bud - you heard him "On accident"

Any way - wether you see it or not - your helping him and his show grow. Thank You !

Good thing your Cop buddies do their jobs without predudice - they get a call, they respond - without Political or emotional bias. Thanks Guys

OMG rev tom the last thing the lancaster school system would need is cry baby carl on the board you guys make this CB sound like he is the second coming... what has he done on
the city board... not much but argue.. or look for a tax break on buildings so he can try to get charter schools in them..

he is doing such a great job now they want the feds to take over the city school system...

    http://wivb.com/2015/03/18/call-for-...ffalo-schools/

so now its a race issue..
The president of the parent council that has spearheaded federal civil rights complaints against the Buffalo School District is now calling for a federal receiver to take over the district.

During a Wednesday news conference Sam Radford said change needs to happen, and it needs to happen soon.

“We’re stagnated with infighting, changing superintendents, and, in an environment where we see all kinds of opportunity opening up for people, It’s not happening for the poor and minority people in the city of Buffalo,” he said.

Radford said other cities in the country are dealing more effectively with issues of special needs students, English language learners, and excessive suspensions

Holy Batman ... Two filling in for the rev Tom on friday .. tommy taking a three day weekend WOW tommy is the Shepard Smith of wben... how does he get all this time off and its only March.
he not a teacher, a public servant, and not a union member.. friday show tug boat mike and rambo dave doing his show hummm.. remeber when the mouth had that show on when employees take off how much it coast the company to fill the position. now they put two people in for a one guy show
    .

Look at this their buddy CB Carl pushing Ogilvie out of office. hummm
Threatened with firing by CB Carl, Ogilvie plans to leave at school year’s end
The School Board member met with Ogilvie on Friday morning and informed him that, if he didn’t submit his resignation as the interim school superintendant by 4 p.m. Friday, Paladino would ask the board this week to vote to fire him.

Ogilvie did not submit his resignation. And it also appears unlikely that Paladino’s dismissal proposal will muster the necessary votes that (lets hope so) when the board meets Wednesday.
“In light of a serious confrontation with my future, initiated by Carl, I’m reassessing everything,” Ogilvie said. “But I’m committed to an orderly transition.”

While it has long been speculated that Ogilvie might stay only through the end of this school year, Ogilvie said he firmed up his position and has chosen to be more candid about it now that it’s clear that he doesn’t enjoy the same support from the board majority that he had when he entered office in July.

Initially, Ogilvie thought a two-year term would be a productive time frame, he said, but the past eight months have led him to believe otherwise.

Having previously counseled other superintendents in similar situations, the school leader said, “I’m going to take my own advice and that is to finish strong and to wrap things up in as orderly a way as I can.”

Paladino said Ogilvie has become an obstacle to making the dramatic reforms the district needs to move forward. Even waiting until June or July for Ogilvie to leave is too long, he said.

    Carl is so power hungry...

So the mouth has not mentioned a word all this week about that fighting on the city school board meeting the other night. I thought cry baby cry was going to fix all of that.
Again the school board acts like a bunch of kids in a sand box and has done nothing to help the school system.

Much rancor at raucous meeting of Buffalo School Board.
There was no end to the lowlights at Wednesday night’s meeting of the Buffalo School Board. The board spent an hour and a half debating – and ultimately approving – a job posting for the next superintendent, as well as a resolution agreeing to a superintendent search.

In that time, an angry member of the public offered two middle fingers to the board majority ( I wonder if it was for Quinn and CB Carl )other members of the public were thrown out by the police, and some members of the board majority and minority blocs interrupted each other in a race to the bottom regarding amendments and changes they wanted to see regarding the superintendent search.

This is good ... "At one point, when district Operations Director James Kane was asked to take a roll call vote on the amendments to the superintendent job posting, Kane stood up at the lectern and said, “Roll call vote on the amendment – God only knows what it is.”

Both board members Harris-Tigg and Belton-Cottman threatened to call security because the group up front was apparently exchanging remarks and making faces, although the back-and-forth was not heard by most in the audience or people sitting nearby.

Finally, Harris-Tigg asked that security deal with one of the front-row offenders. Two Buffalo police officers escorted out one woman, and about 10 others followed behind her.

This led board member Carl P. Paladino to criticize Harris-Tigg, saying that members of the public have heaped far worse upon him but were allowed to stay.

Lets see what the mouth has to say about this during his shows this week.. probably nothing.. The mouth, wben, and rev tom supported Cry baby carl for school board, because they thought he was going to straighten everything out.. What a mess the school board is in.... the mouth is pro CB carl and dislikes mayor erkel.

In the latest plot twist in the continuing drama about proposed mayoral control of the Buffalo Public Schools, Carl P. Paladino said he will file a legal challenge if the bill passes in the State Legislature.

The School Board member argues that it is unconstitutional to remove elected officials from office without cause.

“You can’t remove them unless they’ve done something wrong,” said Paladino, who is also a lawyer. “I could take that into court and kill them.”

Paladino made the comment shortly after Assemblywoman Crystal D. Peoples-Stokes, D-Buffalo, filed the bill, which would immediately dissolve the School Board and turn control of the district over to the mayor.

A member of the board’s five-member majority bloc, Paladino has become a central figure in the debate about the proposal, which is being pushed by fellow businessman Robert G. Wilmers and Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, a Paladino political foe.
Paladino made his intentions clear in an email sent to thousands of people included on a Listserv account where he regularly publishes his opinion. In it, he also took shots at Mayor Byron W. Brown and Common Council President Darius G. Pridgen on the issue of mayoral control of schools.

“If it were to pass State government, it will never survive in the courts,” Paladino wrote. “The lack of basic understanding of constitutional law by Byron Brown and Darius Pridgen is astounding. What if every time we disagreed with one of their decisions we threw them out of office?”

He then went on to criticize business leaders who also are supporting the bill, including Wilmers, the M&T Bank chairman and CEO. and demo lib.

Again sounds more like a race issue than lets fix the school system.

OMG. wonder if the rev. tom and the mouth seen this.... teachers union pres and cry baby carl together...wow the mouth wont like this... maybe a little contract talk for the teachers too after a few beers..

Its about the race card with these two. no one wants mayor erkel but its another black seat for control..

Paladino, Rumore find themselves in rare agreement against mayoral control ..

Buffalo School Board member Carl Paladino and union leader Philip Rumore rarely find themselves on the same side of an issue.

Actually, they pretty much never do.

Yet the two have found common ground in their opposition to a proposed law that would dissolve the School Board and give control of the district to the mayor.

Both have vowed to file a legal challenge should the State Legislature approve the law before this year’s session ends June 17.

“It sort of makes you wonder whether one of us should re-examine our position,” said Rumore, president of the Buffalo Teachers Federation.

The union leader informed Buffalo teachers on Friday that the BTF and New York State United Teachers have been working with state legislators to prevent the law’s passage.

“We have had meetings and conversations with most of our local representatives to ensure the legislation doesn’t pass,” Rumore wrote in a memo to teachers. “We understand Assemblywoman (Crystal) Peoples-Stokes’ desire to end the Board of Education’s dysfunction brought about by just a few board members. We agree with her that something needs to be done. We just do not agree with this method.”

Still, it is unclear whether the mayoral control bill has a shot at passage. Peoples-Stokes is the only lawmaker sponsoring the bill, but support from Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and other influential political figures has many insiders wondering if it has gathered enough quiet traction to gain approval.
