Does anyone know this to be true?
Word is that his brother Jim got him some big job with either NYSDOT or Thruway Authority. Maybe he had to quit to take that job.
Fully stimulated...
$90,000 Thruway authority job. Resigned from LA last week Town of Boston Monday night. Sounds like Hawkins Is sitting at the supervisor's Desk. Nice of them to keep everyone in the dark. Highway superintendant takes a vacation and gets reprimanded for not telling the Board. They used the excuse of what happened if there was a major disaster. Well wouldn't it be nice to know who's in charge of the town In case there was a major problem. Also I would like to know how many board meetings Mrs Dobson has not attended this year.
Has Hawkins been appointed by the Board to serve out the term or just put in there by billyboy? Either way, Hawkins has to run this year. Dobson is allegedly not running. Has billyboy passed his blessings on any candidates this year?
I would believe he would have been appointed by the Board. Rumor has it that Dobson was not going to run. That is why she has been missing meetings. Now that this has transpired she is going to run so the Dems have a better chance to keep control of the Town Board.
How do they fill Hawkins seat for the remainder of the year? When would this "appointment" taken place? It's wonderful what has been happening behind closed doors.

I don't know where you guys get your information, but according to the Town of Boston Website, Mr. Eagan is still your supervisor and Mr. Hawkins is still your councilman.
Unless of course with all the help in the clerks office the resignation letter has slipped through the cracks...............![]()
I never said I had no idea about most of the things you said I said I had no idea about.
Sneakers. Call the town hall tomorrow and ask to speak to the supervisor.

Eagan resigns as supervisor of Town of Boston
STORY BY: DANIEL MEYER
STORY POSTED: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10 AT 4:45 PM
Boston Town Supervisor William Eagan has resigned from his position as the town's top elected official.
The resignation, which is effective today (Wednesday, June 10), was announced in a letter that Eagan submitted to Boston Town Clerk David Shenk.
Eagan has served as the town supervisor for the past seven-and-a-half years after first being elected to a four-year term of office in 2001 and then being re-elected for another four years in 2005.
It was unknown as of late Wednesday afternoon who would replace Eagan as Boston's acting town supervisor. The four-year term of town supervisor will appear on the ballot this November.
More information about Eagan's resignation, including portions of his resignation letter, will appear here at www.thesunnews.net on Thursday, June 11.
The Buffalo News is reporting that the Town Board will be meeting at 4pm TODAY to discuss billyboys departure. The story claims they could appoint McGirr to be Supervisor. He is about as qualified as my bassett hound, and not elected by the people to boot. The people who care need to make a showing at Town Hall today at 4pm. Lets see if they let us in.
Republican Party just chose their candidate to run in the next election. Local businessman in Hamburg, good person in my book... I'm not saying a name yet until it is confirmed
The Republican Party has endorsed an entire "clean slate" to fix this Town. Official announcement has been pending the "official" resignation and finding out who the temp. Supervisor will be.
Mr. Hawkins is being sworn in as I type this. It has been in the works for a while. Seems The Dem's like to keep the people of this town in the dark as much as possible.
