Time and time again our local politicians/governments use the same tricks to promote insiders into tax funded lifestyles.

These people start out as "seasonal"-"Part time" workers - they may be appointed or hired. Then they actually move them slowly into the "Party/Patronage/Nepotism Employment system"

Their taught to "help the right people/party" - its shown to them how "doing the right thing - or - being a team player" can elevate your chances at permanent employment.

Year after year - they just seem to get rehired in the same or different departments run by the committees. Next thing you know you here, "Well we talked to other people - but John Party* was the only one with experience - so we are actually saving money by moving them to full time" - then you hear, "We hired another person part time to take John Party's place - by the way its John Party's cousin - the son of our Party Chairman/Parks Boss - or his wife"

It always makes me laugh/vomit when I hear someone say, "our family has always been PUBLIC SERVANTS" = working mans translation - our whole family is tax funded!

*John Party is a made up name.
PS Town and Village jobs rarely if ever use time clocks or fact base work hour accounting - hours are presumed.
Please, someone prove me wrong ! Please.

Was anyone else at the town board meeting where the public spoke on the behalf of Kroll? Girls Softball and Youth Theater- their reasoning? The recreation commission needs his assistance and he helped create the youth theater camp. However a simple search of the Youth Theatre Facebook page shows that the youth theatre camp was established in 2012 when Josefiak was director. Despite the clear misrepresentation of information, what lackluster reasons. Three years ago the town said they didn't want to hire someone full-time at a rate of $32,000 subject to a civil service exam and now we have someone working PT whose no where near qualified for the position who makes more than that. You almost wonder what Hanley/Hart promised Girls Softball and Youth Theatre to attend the meeting. Maybe more tournaments for girls softball where they get to pocket the money instead of paying back the town for all the over time fees that occur with Building and Grounds and a new sound system for Youth Theatre. Pathetic! If Kroll deserves the job make him take the appropriate civil service exam. Not the part-time watered down version they placed before. And what happened to posting all positions? If they're going to create it shouldn't it be opened to the general public like the part-time position was? Hart made such a stink then..where's his voice now?

Josefiak put almost all the pieces in play for everything Kroll did. Even worn thin between it all she has more spark & enthusiasm than any Director or Dept. Head this town has, ESP. the slug kroll. His antics at the board meeting with the ass kissing

The Town plans very well when it comes to hiring cronies. I thought the Town paid for a study and the findings were that the town only needed a part time Rec Director? Its was all planned out anyways. They give the part time watered down test knowing they want to make him fulltime, but didn't know how he would do. Now they just recieved word that he finished in the top 3 that live in West Seneca, the results were just released to the Towns. So now they will make it official and hire Kroll full time and not give out the big boy exam untill they are pressured to do so which may take a year to 18 months. Kroll will be in that position for at least another 2 years. And to ad salt to the wound I hear from Town workers that he runs a buisness on Town time out of his town office. He's going to make 52k plus benefits when it is all done and recieve step inceases along with 1.5 to 3% wage increases along the way so in about five years he will be making over 70k. He may even get some OT to supervise Teen Dances.
