Let's not forget all of the Decos, or Your Hosts.
The old time Laube's cafeteria was the best, along with Lorenzo's, which became Leonardo's. The Saratoga restaurant on Bailey. Ghandi's Seafood.
The Library, and who had those great roast beef sandwiches in the same area on Bailey? What was the name of the restaurant served up the best antipasto--on the tip of my tongue. On Fillmore, I think.

The Royal Hut in West Seneca was a favorite of the after the bars closed crowd for many years.
    The path is clear
    Though no eyes can see
The course laid down long before.
And so with gods and men
The sheep remain inside their pen,
Though many times they've seen the way to leave.

sure it didn't match a real italina restaurant, but for fast italian food it was good

It wasn't bad for what you got. I liked the unlimited hot breadsticks.

Ah yes, the old Wurzburger hof. I remember going there back in high school with my family to see German music.

Didn't it then become Oh Boys? Things changed a bit.

Wasn't The Library another bar on Bailey? That was before my time, I'm still in my very early 30's. I hear people a few years older than me mention that Bailey used to be more of a college bar strip. Now the only college bar remaining on Bailey is the old faithful ANACONE'S.
I'm just here to make people laugh. And to confuse people. Oh, and to irritate people.

The Library on Bailey Avenue had a bar and a restaurant and was owned by Turgon Brothers. Back when I went there "Fondue" was the trendy food of the establishment. A college age group went there but not to primarily "drink". Prior to this, it was called "300 Club" which was a popular college handout. I went there for a New Year's Eve Party and it was $20.00 per couple with unlimited drinks, snacks and a huge Midnight buffet.

Other places that stand out on Bailey Avenue were Eduardo's noted for their pizza and Italian food. College hangouts on Bailey back in my day were Slat's Tavern and Pat's Tavern. A few years later, John Barleycorn's was a hot spot near Bailey and Suffolk.

It was not the same when they opened up on the boulevard.

Bailo's is the first restaurant I remember going to as a kid. --Cherry Pop!
