Just Rock and Roll - Pearl Street Grill this Friday 5/8

Folks, completely off topic, but the band I play bass for is playing at Pearl Street Grill this Friday, May 8 from 9-12. Now, I'm just the bass player, and will quit when Laney makes it big , but her original tunes are really dynamite, and I reckon she does have a shot of being yet another artist to emerge from Buffalo based on her songwriting.

Stright up rock and roll. Covers and originals. Thank you for reading! Have a great week!

Huckabee is a bass player,so there is some precedent.

Man, I miss booking all the music there.
That was a great time in a great place!
Let me articulate this for you:
"I'm not locked in here with them. They're locked in here with me!!"

We're sort of "fresh", so we've never played there. Should be cool.

    It is.
Where are they setting you up?
When I was there, we'd move everything off the riser next to the street windows

    I'm only the bass player!

I really don't know, although our guitar man scoped it out and mentioned the 'where' of it. It took alot of kibbitzing with Ray to get the gig.

I'm your typical bass player, I like to get there 10 minutes before showtime, warm my tubes and fingers up, and fall into a deep groove for three hours!

Glad to be playing out as, with what you see in my singature line, and some changes at work, my days as a gigging bass player may be numbered. They say I'm indispnsib;le, but my retort is, " there's dude waiting tables in Nashville that'll blow my chops away." Yet, we're really pleased with the lines I've crafted for the original tunes.

Too bad you're in " Bears country" Hip, it'd be cool to meet a member of this board. NO POLITCS when I have my groove hat on though. A completely different set of synapes is at work.

    Same here....
When I'm out I'm out to have fun, not debate!
