    getting tired of excuses

tonight they used the old "they were tired " excuse
the poor sabres played four games in six nights.lets see each player is on the ice 10 to 30 minutes a game times four games gee they played two hours at the most
give me a break. after working 6 or 7 days a week and 10 to 12 hours a day I dont want to hear that a young professional athelete is tired after skating for two hours. if these boys are tired get them into condition and make real men out of them. poor guys had to travel for those games. I bet they did not drive . either in a bus or a plain they just sat back and probably slept. I to have traveled for my job. (i had to do the driving) and had to still work every day all week I cant imagine a job where I could work only a few hours 4 out of 6 days. these boys aren't 60 years old they are young and strong
Give me their wages and I will work 12 hours a day all week every week. Find coach that can get these boys in shape
Don't judge someone just because they sin differently than you

No kidding. I happened to be at the game last night. I go to one or two games a year, because I just don't have gobs of disposable income laying around. I know that they're not going to win every game, but last night's performance was just pathetic. Why would I want to spend that kind of money if they're not even going to make an effort to play? 18,000 were there last night to see that complete waste of 60 minutes. The Lancaster/Depew shootout in the 2nd period intermission was more exciting than the entire game.

I was at the game, and yeah, they looked tired. Derek Roy looked brilliant, but he's the only one that had any fresh legs.

Of course being tired is an excuse. Skating hard like that is physically and emotionally draining. Hell, I get tired shoveling my driveway. I get tired snowblowing my driveway. I get tired waking up for work every morning.

Muscles get sore, man. People get tired. Three games in four nights is a rough stretch. So is six games in nine nights, or whatever they played. It was their first regulation loss in weeks. They're playing well.

I just wish I picked a better game to go to.

    Go Sabres!

They are a young team. Tired shouldn't be an excuse.

It's not so much that they lost... it's that I'm not even sure most of the team was awake. It was really a pitiful display. Hopefully tonight goes better.

I guess my point was it would be nice to hear a coach say he messed up or that his team played bad. the company line is bull be man enough to call it like it is .Excuses are for losers winners admit a problem and fix it."they were tired after playing 4 games in 6 nights.
flying in a jet and staying at a hotel is tiring..Give me a break. I wish I could do that once and a while. try digging post holes for three months without a day off or other work .like our areas construction workers do every spring and early summer. that is tiring. and most of us played roller hockey softball and football during the few evenings we had off.
they get paid to play the same games we played. dont make excuses for them. 20 year olds should not be that out of shape

It was ONE GAME, get over it. When you play roller-hockey, do you have 6-2, 225 lb. guy hacking at your shins and crashing your body into the boards? Are you blocking 70 MPH slapshots with your torso and legs? Four games in six nights in what... four different cities? is a LOT of hockey. They had an off day. They were beat. I shelled out some cash to see them play that night and I'm over it. Maybe I'll buy another pair of tickets when I get paid again.
They've won nine of their past eleven and are in fourth place in the conference. The shutout to the Sharks on Friday was their only regulation loss in nearly a month. It was bound to happen.
