    Buffalo Reuse in the news

I heard a very nice clip on the WBEN morning news regarding Buffalo Reuse. Great job to all of you for preserving Buffalo's past while moving forward.

I applaud Buffalo ReUse on its overall mission however, after watching that clip I can see some conflict with the betterment of Buffalo.

Without actually speaking with Michael Gainer, his quote ....."Unless we communicate to Buffalo and the citizens who live here and businesses that wanna set up shop here, that, this is a place to live and work. If we do that, then we start to curb the cycle of decline. We begin to curb the declining population. And, we bring more people and invite more people into the neighborhood."

I'd ask him which neighborhood(s)? IMHO, not all neighborhoods should be saved. Some should be eliminated and land banked for future development, when need and cost measurements are met.

I have always been an advocate of landbanking..I agree there are some areas that are too far gone to be saved..Michael will be at our open house earth week event tomorrow at the ReSource 298 Northampton between Main & Jefferson from 12 to 4pm

There will be fun things for the kiddies to do,presentations, showing of our community gardens, snacks, discounts on merchandise a good time to be had by all! Michael Im sure would love to chat..
