    Buffalo's new Mayor

So do we think "labor" controls him?

As much as you don't like when I pick apart paragraphs, line by line to ask I question... How about doing it word by word?

Who's the "we" ... "so do "we" think...?"

There would be several classifications of "we" used in that sense. I am not taking away from the conversation of this thread, I am asking a question to get a better understanding of the thread topic.

    "we" as in suburbanites.

    "we" as in African Americans

    "we" as in Democrates

    "we" as in rich

"we" as in non supporters of the city

"we" as in a group opposing the sales tax increase.

"we" as in middle-aged working class.

"we" as in the laborers' points of view.

I think you get my point.

Do you think you can rephase your question so that the non-mind readers understand what you are saying?

    The path is clear
    Though no eyes can see
The course laid down long before.
And so with gods and men
The sheep remain inside their pen,
Though many times they've seen the way to leave.

    Labor can't control him

Don't you realize the Control Board is in place till 2034 ??? Byron Brown could be Labors best friend, but the CB has the last word. Unions in the City are going to have a rough go for a long , long time. The Control Board, even in an advisory role will dictate policy for City workers. You would have to be blind not to see that.

He can still be controled by labor, control board or not.

I didn't say will Byron will be able to give the unions anything I just said do we think he's controled by labor.

You are 100% the control board sort of puts some reigns on what he can do.

Since you believe "disruptiveness" is based on your opinion, I will assume the "we" is the Mutual Admiration Society of Speakup message boards, since you refused to answer a simply question to understand the thread better.

he is not even in office yet but still Democrat and labor are almost the same thing. even though he should be just a figure head he could still do more then tony did.
think back what did the last Mayor do for us that would not have happened with out him. he showed up at every ribbon cutting but most of the time that was the first time he did anything or the project.
If all brown does is dream up ideas that go no where and smile at ceremonies he will match tony.Labor loved tony because he stayed out of their way while they did what they wanted in the city. with a controll board Brown is forced to step back an watch just like tony
Don't judge someone just because they sin differently than you
