    Why obama wants to save GM

    You know why obama is so bent on saving GM is so he can get parts for his Caddy and the secret services Tahoes and Suburbans, you do not see him roll'in in any toyota priris do you ??????

    Why is he not in a toyota prius if thats whats so great ?? he states the big 3 are not making what the public wants. Why are the small cars not selling now ? People want SUVs and Trucks and thats what the big three were making. The only reason people stopped wanting then is becauase gas went to $4 know gas is back at $2 and guess what there are left over prius's toyota cannot sell. when he puts his family in a prius then he can tell me what to drive but when hes rollin in a caddy suv i m going to roll in my suv .

    I don't think so, he doesn't pay for the parts, the taxpayer does.
    Also, if Obama were trying to save GM he would have allowed them to go bankrupt and he would not be trying to sell GM to Fiat. What kind of President sells and American company to a foreign company/country? That's real partriotic of him, ain't it?

    Well, the "Cadillac" Obama rides around in is basically a TANK disguised as a Cadillac DTS limo. It doesn't share any body panels with my 2006 DTS, that's for sure and I bet that there are not many standard GM parts either.

    Mesue, it's Chrysler that is partnering with Fiat, not GM.

    As a car guy, I am really concerned that the government is sticking its nose in the business and forcing Wagonner out. He was the best shot they had, IMO. You don't just turn around a company this large in 60 days. It takes 5 years to retool for a new line, for God's sake.

    Obama wants Fiat to have an alliance with Chrysler and gave Chrysler 30 days to work out a deal or no bail out money.
    When will America wake up to what Obama is doing to this country?

    That's how long it took Lee Iacocca to turn Chrysler around.

    I doubt the big 3 have anyone that could hold a candle to Iacocca. If they did, they probably wouldn't be in the position they're in right now.

    Their are a lot of reason the big 3 are failing, they've modeled their business after our government. TO MUCH BUROCRACY on the top with to much "middle management" and too costly labor.

    The SUV's they sold during the 80's, 90's and earlly 2000's were the ONLY thing that kept them alive. The margin level on a 50K is 3 to 4 times higher than they would make on selling a Malibu or a prius tyope car.

    In fact, they Pruius/Hybrid rush has stopped and dealerships have more of these cars on their lot's than every!

    Obama wants to keep these 3 running becuase it's 6 million votes for him. If he let's the UAW fail, the DEM will never get their votes again!

    The big 3 WILL FAIL and the greatest gage of that is when Ron Gettlefinger and the UAW turned down the offer by Gore Motors to use some of their BILLIONS in cash to buy GM common stock. Even the UAW has no confidence in it's own company


    Ironically, the group now in charge of the BIG 3, is made of up 3 UNION GUYS and a bunch of peopel who've worked for the GOVT the last 10 years. So we now have 12 IDIOTS tryign to run what a bunch of HARVARD educated people couldn't, WE'RE ALL ****ED!!
