Angry Lancaster elected officials get raises accoss the board

if you read Buffalo News Article Today, First the headlines
read Budget Plan would cut tax Rate 21.3%, then read it
actually it means that bulk of people taxes are going up
18% if your housed is accesed at 150,000 your taxes will
go up $354 (god forbid next years school taxes when the 100%
gos in affect) Yet Giza's got the Gull to TO INCLUDE ACROSS-THE-BOARD-RAISES-OF 3 PERCENT FOR ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS,
Giza Bragging that they saved a lot money switching Health
Care plans. why would anyone want to stay in Erie County
unless your an Elected official, or Work for either, the City,Town
or County, I want to run away as fast as I can from Erie county & NYS never look back I wish I Could do it right now, but i've
got alot of property to sell first (which takes time) I'm
scared to dealth in few years down the road (at the rate taxes are going up) That no ones gonna want or even be able to afford your property , and your property values are going
sink or drop big time !

Do you ever get a raise at your job?

People deserve cost-of-living increases, at the very least. Even government employees.

I see no problem with 3% increases.

At privately held companies there are not always raises. If the company is not doing well, there is no raise, not even a cost of living raise.

But, if you take into account that lancaster broght in more tax money this year, that must mean that as a company, they're doing well and that deems a raise.

most people could "live on" a $40,000 salary.

why are so many people against those that make six figure incomes?

I don't think any of them make $100,000.

Supervisor's pay is in the $70k range, I believe.

You do when you do a good job. You don't when you don't do a good job. Currently looking at how the area looks if I was boss there wouldn't be raises going out to any elected officials.

How did you find out about the raises for elected officials? Are they in the proposed budget?
