Dougles, Healthcare manufacturing firms (not government funded) will continue to grow. These healthcare entities have been forced to continously look for new technology/products that keep them competitive in the market. It's also a demand market that has probably suffered the least ill -effects of the poor economy. And, I am sure that many are using the poor economic times to their advantage by looking for products/technology that will be more cost effective and competitive.

Construction will no doubt make a dent in the unemployment role. Hopefully, this will not only include workers out drilling the streets but new positions in all aspects of a business that will require management, administrative, clerical positions, etc.

With government funding, I also anticipate that the unemployed will roll into privately owned small businesses. Right now, small businesses are falling like flies but the economy will bounce back, people will start buying again and there will be a need that the small business owners will satisfy.

I haven't totally thrown the towel in on our auto industry yet. There's hope that they will bounce back and then hire management that will develop marketable automobiles with American made parts.

Governments role should be stimulating people to expand, start and shore up private industry,, unfortunately in NY is the largest employer. It spends without any concern for efficiency or return on investment read tax dollars.

If the Feds cannot get out the business of running, subsidizing, controlling business soon after the recovery we are doomed.

    Look at Europe.

I remember Obama talking frequently about the positive impact small private businesses will have on our economy. Let's see if we can make it happen.

Let's hope the country does not follow NY's lead in despising and driving small business away.

I hear you. I've owned businesses here. Every single week, the state hand their hand out for something.

    Thumbs up

Don't let the USA move toward the USSR' government operated approach. The focus must always be on teaching and learning how to operate a business, instead benefits of applying for a civil exam test.

*I* personally have given up all hope for out state, and our country. People want their failed socialist govt, and the anarchy that will soon follow such, fine. All I ask, is people not bother me.
I believe in the Constitution, maybe you should too.

I get points for speaking the truth
