    Buffalo Bills

It looks like we have a SuperBowl caliber defense again this year.
The offensive line still seems to be the biggest problem.

It seems that you can't post a poll within the sports forum. I wanted to ask who thought the Bills would make the playoffs, but evidently I'd have to go to the poll forum. Hey WNYR, Can you make it so one could post a poll in the sports forum or any other?

The Bills will be alright, although I'm worried how they had their arses handed to them in Tampa Bay. They should have swallowed a few three and outs while trying to establish the run. They could have tired out the defense. Instead, they passed on first, ran on second, passed on third, then punted.

Sunday will be intersting. If they can contain Vick, they'll do OK. However Dunn is a quality veteran running back. If they worry too much about Vick he'll ram it down out throats.

Yes, I remember Ted Williams, the splendid splinter, the greatest hitter who ever lived. What does he have to do with the Bills.?

The Bills will not be fine under the self-called 'Maverick', Tom Don-a-hoooo(As Mr. Wilson likes to call him). He has ruined this team. What will become of the Bills secondary, that right now is full of rent-a-players on their last tour in the NFL? These guys are old. They may be good now but we're told Rob Johnson, I mean JP Losman, is in a learning process. He is being groomed. So why are they here? Funny how there was talk of playoffs before this season, not only by the fans but also the team. So how does grooming translate to playoffs? If and when JP does come around, our secondary will be depleted. Will the Bills have a D when JP is finally the super star that Tommy drafted him as? Sam Adams only plays when he wants to. By himself, he is no pro-bowl player. Mr. Donahue should have kept Pat Williams and dumped Adams. He knew by bringing in Adams, he could not afford to keep both players. There might even be salary cap issues resulting from these defensive free-agent pick-ups even after they are gone. Meanwhile, our O-line looks like it has since it was picked apart during the end of the Kelly days, horrible. Mike Williams, another Donahue stud has not panned out. O-line guru, Jim McNally, has had no impact on the Bills line. How many coaches does he get to blame before he is fired? Tommy has been here for what, five seasons? What is his record? Yeah, he's a maverick alright.

Wow that's a negative attitude if ever I've seen one. Our 'depleted secondary' is ranked number one against the pass in the NFL right now. The Bills are dead last against the run... but still ranked #7 overall defensively. That shows just how good our 'old and depleted' secondary is.
Teams are double teaming Adams and running straight at Edwards/ Anderson, whoever happens to be in there at the time. Fletcher will have to provide more run support in the middle, while Crowell and Posey pick up his slack.
The Bills kept Adams over Williams because Adams is under contract. They couldn't afford Williams, Jennings, and Schoebel, all unrestricted free agents. They kept Schoebel.
The Bills are only 1-2, man. They have a good squad. You're so quick to jump on Losman's case, but I can guarantee you were one of the people hell-bent on running Bledsoe out of town.

    For shame.

Dino. It is true we were ranked no. 1 against the pass but that is because when the opposition runs the ball at will against you they do not need to pass. Our TOTAL yards against ranks near the bottom.

Let me post this again, when JP comes around our secondary will probably be depleted. As in, these guys are not getting any younger. As in they won't be around forever. As in JP looks like he is years away from becoming the superstar Tommy portrayed him as when he drafted him. Nate 'playmaker' Clements probably won't be here next year. No money to sign him. It is all tied up in the Milloys and Vincents and the Fletchers and the Spikes. Spikes an 8 year vet. at his position, that is old in the NFL, will never fully recover from his injury. Eric Moulds is old. No tight ends, no defensive ends. Mr. Donahue has done what for the Bills? For the record, even though you are putting words in mouth or post for that matter, I never wanted Bledsoe here to begin with. I never thought Tom Donahue should have been hired either. Funny how Pittsburgh turned it around after Tommy left. Bottomline, the Bills are second rate from the management right down to the coaching staff. They always have been under Mr. Donahue.

As in the Bills 'Window for the Playoffs' is closing fast. Like I said before, most all were sold this idea that the Bills were a playoff team not only by the players, coaching, and media, but the fans as well. Now all i hear is "the Bills are grooming JP", "it is going to some time for him to develope". Why wasn't this stated before the season started? Before tickets were sold? You know why, because tickets wouldn't have been sold. The Bills didn't fool me though.

JP has played three games so far. THREE. If they felt that Losman wouldn't improve this team they wouldn't have gotten rid of Bledsoe. You think they're just writing off this season? Did they write off last year after starting 0-4? Learning experience? Baloney. The Bills have a good team THIS YEAR. Losman will struggle, of course. He's pretty much a rookie. That's why you send McGahee up the middle. This season is far from over.

These old guys you're talking about... Spikes, Fletcher, Vincent, and Milloy? Donahoe brought them in as free agents. Spikes is a pro-bowler. Fletcher's the cornerstone of our defense. Vincent and Milloy are up there in years, but have a hell of a lot of football left in them. Then there's still Coy Wire, Jabari Greer, and Kevin Thomas waiting in the wings.
They'll play out their contracts and if they aren't worth the price, new guys will be brought in. That's how the NFL works.

I think you guys read too much Jerry Sullivan. You're as negative as he is.
