We would be like 10th or 11th.....

There has to be some value to being a city that ranks 10th or so.

    This was talked about before...

A borough system could work but I doubt a full incorporation would ever be possible.

With 4 areas making up the City of Buffalo.

    Borough 1:
The City of Buffalo would be the center and would annex the City of Lackawanna and the Town of Kenmore.
    Population: 328,000 est

    Borough 2:
The Town and City of Tonawanda, the Town of Amherst and the Town of Clarence would all merge.
    Population: 220,000 est.

    Borough 3:
The town of Cheektowaga, Sloan, Depew, the Town and Village of Lancaster, the Town of West Seneca and the Town of Elma would all merge.
    Population: 165,000

    Borough 4:
Blasdell, the Town and Village of Hamburg, the Town of Orchard Park, Aurora and East Aurora would all merge.
    Population: 105,000

Each borough would have their 1 Police Department, 1 school district, 1 streets/highway department, 1 parks department. Essentially 1 of everything that exists in multiple layers today.

Each borough would have 2 members in a common council and all 4 boroughs would elect one mayor.

The population for the combined city would be around 820,000 would would dramatically change the landscape of the power in terms of State and Federal funding and power.

res , I told you we'd be in the top 20 or so , there's A LOT of value in that , but again , you're up against the powerful PAC's , lobbyists , unions , & aristocrats who just don't want to give up their little kingdoms.........Going "Metro" is what a lot of communities around the world have done , the closest to us I believe is Toronto , & now they're the biggest city in Canada , & growing & companies are moving there , putting their headquarters there , & they're probably going to even get OUR Buffalo Bills................WNY is always the last to "get-it" & join the party , look at how we should have put in the casino years ago , before Niagara Falls even did it..............very poor leadership here , very greedy leadership.............

I would love to have Lenny L register and debate.

He endorsed Keane. I was there at that Hearthstone fundraiser. All I could say is FIND THAT TAPE of Keane and Schroeder yapping and NO ONE WILL ever vote for his endorsement ever. UNLESS your on the receiving end..

It was class warfare. Labor against Business owners.. WHile you drive your old car to work he drive his LExus.. NOT one BUT TWO to his home in clarence........ OHHHH... They should have all worn hoods.

I so much wanted to stand up and say what on earth is wrong with you people. WHY are you here support this *******. Seriously.. It opened my eyes to how politics works. Sad.

Don't take me wrong. I do respect what the democratic party has built as an organization in WNY. Too bad it's killing our community.

I personally don't really respect anything the democratic party has done for Buffalo "proper"........They've been in power here in the COB since the inception of its' decline , what's to respect ? They cater to the poor , indegent , entitlement crowds , which account for 50% of the vote there alone , ensuring victory for those "straight-line" democratic voters who just vote the party line instead of a person from another party who just may be serious in trying to salvage our city & WNY in general.............no , you have to earn respect by your actions , & the deeds that they do don't justify respect , contempt yes................

Buffalo and WNY will continue to lose population, the question is when is there critical mass when all the efforts in the world will not change the outcome?

Politicians, public service unions, special interests will take this area down with them into hell before any intelligent plans can be implemented.

There either has to be a tax revolt or an outcry by the citizenry,, the likes of which would be unparalleled.

Add state mandates... hate to say it but this area will continue to be choked to death literally to death. Smart people leave this area sadly.
