Panic and prudent price-comparison habits rarely go hand-in-hand, of course. This naturally results in higher prices for ammunition.

Report: 34,500 on NY’s mental health no-gun list.
NEW YORK (AP) - Some 34,500 people are now listed as too mentally unstable to have guns in New York state under a less than 2-year-old law that is one of the nation’s toughest concerning mental health and firearms, a news report Sunday found.

Federal and many other state laws require an involuntary commitment or a legal designation of mental illness or incompetence before a person can lose gun rights.

34,500 in a state that has a population of 20 million doesn't sound like a lot of people.
How do you know they aren't already designated with a mental illness?

    From the same article:
"144,000 people were admitted to mental hospitals and psychiatric centers statewide in 2012 alone"

The Safe Act is now a fact of life - like car registration - the only thing that will change is the cost and level of intrusion.

This Cuomo guy could be your next President.

Anyone who claims these past elections are a "Victory" must be related to the winners - a year from now will tell who "Won what"!

The Pro Gun Groups did nothing here in NY for Pro Gun Supporters. They were a "Non-Player" - I saw no rally's - no true out pouring of information - maybe a few small groups with signs - big deal.

Those groups who claim to protect our "Rights" sat this one out. If they continue this way we can all either bury our firearms are start running down to Pennsylvania and sell them.

Unions supposedly backed away - Teachers backed away - Cuomo bashed Conservatives and the Working Family Party - yet millions have poured into his war chest and there will be millions more slid his way.

So who did what - either Unionized labor lied and voted for him or the Unions sold out their members ?
The Pro-Gun voter Groups went on Holiday !

A lot of pro-gun groups have realized that annoying the rest of the population with their single issue whining is counterproductive. Their energy and resources are better spent lobbying candidates directly with both communication and funds.

Every time some guniot open carries an AK in a grocery store in states that allow open carry, a 1000 hoplophobes across the country are politically energized and that negates the effort of the mis-guided Wyatt Earps.

You have to learn to play smarter, not harder.

BS - You love to play things ass backwards.

Lobbying and giving money to Politicians does nothing more than feed the system you adore. It keeps the people out of sight and hels keep the dog and pony show going.

You bring up the obscure fringe - this justifies nothing.

If organized gun rights groups are content passing money up through lobbyists to the vary same people who are trampling our right - then those groups have also sold out.

That's why you support these actions - your clowns can say what they want in public - while their candy comes in the back door - what ever it takes to win.

One big Dog and Pony Show and the beat goes on.
