Lawyers attempt to mug the Firearms industry

    Source Buffalo News 9-8-2012

The money grubbing legal profession is at it again.
The lawyers are suing the gun manufacturers in the death of a human.
People using the guns kill the people not the gun maker.

What is next for these shysters will they sue the makers of automobiles for a wrongful death just for making the car?
Will they attempt to sue the liquor industry for making alcoholic beverages?
When will America wake up to what Obama is doing to this country?

The case is about whether there was any culpable conduct on the part of the gun dealer or the gun manufacturer in this case. The lower court found that there was not, and the plaintiffs have appealed claiming the lower court's assessment was wrong.

Imagine, for example, a case where a gun dealer tells a gun manufacturer that he needs to place an order for 200 guns because he has a bunch of east side gang members who want to buy guns from him. If the manufacturer said "cool, we can have that order delivered to you by next week" do you think the gun maker should be free of any liability for the consequences of that decision?

At the other end of the spectrum is a gun maker who simply fills orders for qualified gun dealers, having no idea what the gun dealer will do with the guns.

The plaintiffs claim this case falls closer to the first example. The lower court found otherwise. In New York you have the right to have a trial judge's determination reviewed by the Appellate Division.

Would you rather that the decisions of trial judges not be subject to review? Once made, they are final and binding?

Before you answer - The Heller lawsuit was dismissed by the trial judge. Imagine if Heller had no appeal rights. Do you think the Heller appeal was just "money grubbing legal profession ... at it again"?

Ridiculous....then again this country is law suit crazy. Typical lawsuits name everyone, kinda like throwing crap on a wall and sseeing what sticks. We could do with a few less lawyers while we are at it.

At this point you may as well sue the manufacturers of steel bars that the barrels are cut from, sue the companies that create plastic blanks, sue the companies that provide the raw materials for bullets... then start suing the families that that own the companies, then the employees,,,and their families...

It is a shame that we have become a sue happy society. Your example of how the lawyers may expand the area of a gun lawsuit is amusing but could come true. Lets not give the lawyers any more targets.
