Earlier today, I met with our Small Business Advisory Board. It was a productive meeting that touched on several issues facing local businesses.

We all know small businesses are job creators. We need a sustained focus on helping small business grow and thrive in Western New York.

I posted asking what are the issues facing small business. I'm curious what his ideas are to correct the issue we face as small business owners.

Timothy Kennedy We discussed the NY Youth Works program, a "Make it in NY" initiative, Dept. of Labor grants for worker training, legislation to support microbusinesses and potential future events the board may organize, to name a few items.

What are you opinions to the issues that effect small business?

Of the small businesses I come into contact with the above items never come up.

A NY Youth Works program effects small business how?

Labor grants is basically taking form one business and handing it over to another. I don't agree with that.

Legislation to support micro businesses how so? I don't think money should be taken from one business to be handing to kick start a business that may compete with them.
