UCE calls on State Liquor Authority to act against Buffalo Creek and Seneca Niagara C

Upstate Citizens for Equality (UCE, http://www.upstate-citizens.org ), a grass roots organization of taxpayers in upstate New York, calls for the New York State Liquor Authority to take action against the licenses issued to the Seneca Niagara and Buffalo Creek Casinos on the grounds that illegal gambling is being conducted at those establishments and that the Seneca Niagara Casino has served visibly intoxicated people.

Good. I'm fairly ambivalent toward the casinos in general, but the damn well should be following applicable laws.

I'm suprised the SLA has jusrisdiction over the Seneca's, let alone the casinos even bothering to have a liquor licsense.

Although come to think of it, you cant buy any type of booze on the reservations, not even beer.

Alcohol use questioned at Turning Stone club near Syracuse
Assemblyman asks if Turning Stone club is illegally serving drinks.

A state Assemblyman has asked the state Liquor Authority to investigate whether alcohol is being served illegally at Turning Stone Resort and Casino's dance club.

David Townsend, R-Sylvan Beach, said recent newspaper advertisements touting the serving of alcohol at the Lava club prompted him to write the Liquor Authority.

"I just wanted the Liquor Authority to be aware of it and take a look at what's going on," said Townsend, whose district includes Turning Stone.

given the amount of money that the casinos give to the cities in which theyre doing business, this should be a non issue.

And illegal gambling? Its a casino! They KNEW before it was built there would be gambling. I swear, people are too stupid to face the facts. The problem isnt the casino's, or the indians. The problem rests with NYS and their over bearing rules and regulations!
