    Grocery Store in Orchard Park

Has anyone heard anything more about the grocery store that was rumored to be coming to Orchard Park? I had a conversation with a lovely young woman last week who was asking me the very same question. We both agreed that one is much needed but hopefully nothing like the last two - Jubilee and Latina's. If many remember, both stores were dirty, outdated and sold moldy produce and out of date dairy products. It was shameful.

I hope the circulated news of a much needed supermarket has not gone by the wayside.

Thank you grandpabob but I was speaking of the one that I read about in the paper that would be in the Village area. I have a hard time getting a ride sometimes and need the flexibility of being able to walk to a store for groceries.

For some reason 7-11 is all they will let in the village. the old Jubilee store might be big enough for an Aldies or a Save a lot. too big for Wilson farms and the entire plazza would have to be rebuilt for Wegmans. or another big store. Stores like Super Duper, Bells and other small to medium stores dont survive any more unless they sell discount food.
People have stated they would like a new grocery store but that is all I have heard.
Latina's seemed like they wanted to sell to Cafe's and dinners.
I go to Hamburg or West Seneca to shop at Save alot it would save me gas money to have one in the village.
