This is under the banner of "Job Opportunities" on the Town website. How true!
I thought our time hires part timers in the summer?

The worst part of this video is Rogowski. How this man is put in charge of anything is beyond me. He is a fool.

FYI: the window name is "Viral Player". It's not a virus, just a video player.

Of course he doesn't see it as a problem. He took over his dad's spot on the board. Of course the fox doesn't see the problem with himself guarding the hen house.

I forgot that he oversees our town fort.

Bogus issue. Find something else to squawk about. If you don't like the people in office then vote them out. Oh wait, you tried that and it didn't work. So now you want term limits so that the majority of voters who want a person to continue in office can't have what they want because you losers are crying about being rejected by the voters.

    Term limits are for losers.

rogoski oversees his cousin john jarosewski who is in charge of parks and recreation = a true violation of the code of ethics, yet is allowed to occur without any question by our town board

I find this rather interesting. He isn't shy about what he pays his cousin.

    www.seethroughny.org

    2009 $88,659
    2010 $88,649
    2011 $97,013

    Year salary Increase
    2009 88,659.00
    2010 88,649.00 -0.01%
    2011 97,013.00 8.62%

    8.61% over 3 years

In three short years almost a 9% salary increase. At that rate of increases I think we have an issue at hand.

I looked but didn't find benefit packages. How much more do you all think would be added on top of the $97,013 for health coverage and pension contributions?

    Just looked up another one:

    $41,747 2009
    $54,557 2010
    $57,409 2011

That is one hell of a pay increase over 3 years.

    Year salary Increase
    2009 47,747.00
    2010 54,557.00 12.48%
    2011 57,409.00 4.97%
    17.45% over 3 years

There isn't any justification for this. This doesn't include as far as I know the cost increases for the health coverage we provide.

Here's a good editorial from the Buffalo News. The Ethics board really needs to take the helm and write their own policy as stated in the editorial.

So they wrote a resolution so they can say "Our hands are tied. We can't do anything"....

Why doesn't any Cheektowaga resident issue a written complaint to the Ethics committee to investigate?

Neither can they appoint, hire, or promote - the collection of no interference matters has to be read a s whole - it keeps a father from hiring a son, and also keeps a father from deciding that his son should say two hail mary's for using the park department equipment in a private lawn business.

Do you really want relatives making discharge and discipline decisions?

You gotta think these things through a bit more.

I did. Let us say a board member's cousin should be fired who works in a department they oversee. That board member can say their hands are tied and can not do anything about it. A law "we" wrote prohibits "me" doing anything about it. Correct?
