training fields are also needed where would they put the stadium a grass training field and parking for 80'000 people close enough for tailgate parties team headquarters with out stepping on neighborhoods, historical, and political feelings.
the ralph is outside of the city and already has everything needed for a football team it just needs an owner who cares about Erie County. look around the country stadiums everywhere else have sports bars, gyms, movie theaters, and more The Ralph still sits with nothing near it and has almost nothing going on the rest of the year. this isnt an area problem just an owner who could care less about this area. He is the proud owner of a football team and nothing more very few concerts the stadium just sits empty most of the time. why would Buffalo want that.
where in Buffalo could you avoid wind not for the games but for the mountains of trash produced at a football game. Trash that blows everywhere . drunks in Orchard Park they are in wide open parking lots and police can control them. Downtown they will be wandering the neighborhood streets. Let Orchard Park have the mess and the drunks Use what we all ready have without sticking the tax payers with an empty Ralph to argue over plus the cost of building every thing new

Grandpabob training facilities is the easy part. If you are referring to training camp etc., most teams train off stadium, or even out of town (Rochester was a place the Bills held training camp for years). There are plenty of nearby high school or college facilities that will be made available to them. Your other concerns about the wind, the trash, and the drunks are an example of the nitpicky objections people have regarding this proposal. Believe it or not downtown Buffalo will offer tons of advantages compared to the Ralph; this will be an all-purpose stadium, used year-round and much more accessible than Orchard Park, it will also be a retractable-down stadium.

training field is the real turf field outside of the Ralph where they practice before an away game that has real turf.
If you do want a dome down town you better get going real fast it takes ten to twenty years to get big projects past all the political red tape in the city. look at the bridge water front . the bait shop fifty years of arguing over the outer harbor coast guard to steel plant sure has allot to offer. your talking about the biggest project yet in an area that has too many government funded items now. and the ralph might be a little to big for eccc so it would have to be flattened at tax payer expense. If the new owners want a dome let them build it. if they claim they will leave if we don't build one help them pack

Even if this was proposed and passed...it would take YEARS to proceed, given the history of Buffalo, LAWSUITS, ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STUDIES, TRAFFIC FLOW STUDIES, and even a study to see if the seagulls on the waterfront would be impacted...just another passing joke and dream...Buffalo is not prepared to be accomodating and aggressive UNLESS there is something there for THOSE in POWER!
