Highway Boss under attack - must be election time - Lukes on the job!

LEWISTON, N.Y. (WIVB) - More questions are rising about the Town of Lewiston Highway Department following a News 4 story. A viewer brought some surprising photos to our attention.
As usual Luke has been aided by an anonymous resident - No hidden agenda here folks

Town officials tell News 4 after they became aware of the allegations, they turned it over to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office. Photos purport to show a Town of Lewiston Highway truck dropping off millings, which is ground up asphalt, on private property in the Town of Porter, one town over from Lewiston.

As he did in Lancaster - he may have forgot to ask what past practice has been - was this never done before or is it to be found out that it has been known past practice?

Lewiston Councilman Alfonso Marra Bax said, "What concerns me first of all is that we're utilizing town resources for out-of-town benefit. They were Town of Lewiston trucks."

Channel 4 states "We showed the photos, believed to be taken in the fall of last year, to Town of Lewiston Supervisor Steven Reiter"

Great up to the minute reporting - this smells of a set up. Time will tell what happens - but like with other cases they report on - they wont tell you the out come when it favors those they tainted.

Acts like this have been going on for as long as one can remember. Not just in one area but all towns , cities. This is a personell problem for this dump truck drivers supervisor to handle. Like first time offense a written warning placed in his file. In our new era of cameras everywhere it makes acts like this seem monstrous. Our local news stations are desperate for news so they make a mountain out of a mole hole. So I would not make this a major news event for it is a regular part of doing business for a lot of construction companies and town highway depts. Yes it is wrong and a sort of discipline is warranted but if first time offense he should not even be given a day off but rather a written warning. We need to start taking all these local news investigative reporters with a grain of salt. They love to make a headline, they all think they will win a prize for a stupid story .

Does Luke say he is sorry when he gets it wrong?
