Like I said, completely false premise...
My statement doesn't prove therising wrong, that's just your twisted perception of some facts I posted. A week ago, Santorum was criticizing Obama for apologizing for another incident, the accidental burning of Korans. I'm not suggesting that books are equal to people, but Santorum essentially said that apologizing for anything makes us appear weak. He didn't want a President that apologizes for the country at all. Now he's changing his tune. Not surprising.

Santorum on Obama's apology for the Quran burning thing:
Santorum says that rather than saying he was sorry, Obama should have only acknowledged that burning copies of Islam's holiest book in a trash pit was wrong and taken responsibility for the incident, "but to apologize, I think, lends credibility that somehow or another that it was more than that."
Using his own guidelines, the only resonable conclusion is that there is no possible way he would apologize for the massacre of women and children. After all, that would " lends credibility that somehow or another that it was more than that."

BUT, wait - just yesterday, Santorum said “If it turns out to be the case that this person did a horrible wrong and it was a deliberate act, a deliberate act by an American soldier and that is something we should clearly say was something that we should apologize for.”

The Quran buring was an honest mistake... the killing of 16 unarmed people isn't... Apples and Tires.

So have you found a source of the GOP bashing Obama for apologizing about killing of 16 people?

If not your whole thread is a joke and nothing but "tit for tat".

Changing the subject does not get you off the hook. Only a loon would think like you just did here.

    Very true.

I'm willing to put money on it, that within two weeks, at least one of the Republican candidates will find a way to bash Obama for this.

You're warped. But that's a given. One doesn't need to read more than two or three of your posts to realize that.

If they haven't done it now, why would they wait? The Quran burning was just over 2 weeks ago... it's vanished from the media and the 4 GOPer's.

I'm not a mind reader. Just telling you how I think things will play out.

Funny how when I used the Quran thing in the same sentence as this, you were quick to point out how different they are - Apples and Tires. Yet, when it's convenient for you to compare them, you do so.

Did we all read the breaking news on cnn?

President Obama says it's time for the factions and ethnic groups in Afghanistan "to end 30 years of war.
A better answer is... our troops should have been home long time ago.

I didn't compare the actions, I only compared them to the extent that the media and Pol's talked about them... Again Apple and paper!

I should have known. Because, most of the time when you talk - you're not talking about actual topics - you're talking about how others react to them.

Isn't that the WHOLE point of this tread? How people react to Obama's apology?

    I'll take that bet.
There is nothing to be gained by playing a tragedy for political gain.
    The less said the better.

I was gonna make a counter bet regarding libs, but Def. Sec. Panetta already spoiled that.
Soldiers asked to disarm during Leon Panetta speech.
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...ta-speech.html

Less than a week after a US staff sergeant allegedly massacred 16 civilians in Kandahar, American soldiers were banned from bringing guns into a talk by Mr Panetta at a base in Helmand province.

Around 200 troops who had gathered in a tent at Camp Leatherneck were told "something had come to light" and asked abruptly to file outside and lay down their automatic rifles and 9mm pistols.

"Somebody got itchy, that's all I've got to say. Somebody got itchy – we just adjust," said the sergeant who was told to clear the hall of weapons.
