3 top hires earn public pensions.

Why do politicians hire the same old hacks to come out of retirement to earn more money from the txp. Do we not have young minds in this area to make the changes we need. Same old BS and this has been going on for years. BS!!!!!

The DPW commissioner is required to have a PE engineer license. Not every PE wants to work at the county when provate practice most often pays more. Loffredo knows what the job entails and can start up immediately and the 58 year old deputy should be in agod position very shortly as well. DPW is a critical position in county government. MP believed that Tobe was his best choice for Deputy and Jobs Czar so again Tobe made sense. In the midst of the younger appointments , bright and more seasoned apointments makes for an excellent mix. Time will tell in all things. Remember in this scenario of hiring commissioners HR Social services and Property Tax have individuals who have terms to finish.

then by defintion, of they are workng for the govt, then they are NOT retired, and should not be collecting any pensions. You're either retired, or you're not retired. Only in govt can you be both. In private sector, you cant retire from dept A, and get rehored in Dept B. a tsame employer. YEs, you can retire from 1 company and go work at another...but that's a totally diff employer. Retired from 1, and working for another. But in this govt mess, a retiree gets both. the pension is supposed to make for a secure retirement...meaning "not earning a paycheck from this employer anymore.." Only in govt, and only in WNY is it encouraged and applauded as a way of life.

i agree..its not ibm that doesnt mean its "oh we're not a business so we can ignore the principles of fiscal prudence".

but, then MP won "for the people" correct?..so why is he endorsing the idea of giving the FINGER to the non union electorate (that would be the majority of people in WNY) who veheently object to exploitation of the net taxpayers with the double dips.. We're paying peole to not work...while also paying them to NOT work. its insanity. nothing to do with "victor gets the spoils".

on the other hand..maybe that IS correct: SPOILS. just a spoiled scorching of net taxpayers.

and the oh so dedicated public servant that, "sure ill serve the publi cBUT, im keeping my tax free pension, AND i want the paycheck too. So much for "dedicatoin to public service"...should add to that "for the right price."
