These 3 giant companies with close to 800,000 employees are going to set up their own Health Care company. This is 'self-insured' on roids and I think it will do wonders for the healthcare industry.

These 3 will drive down costs and I am assuming they will add other large companies to the mix. Home Depot, Target, UPS, IBM, GE, and HP each have hundreds of thousands of employees. Once they drive down prices other smaller fish will be able to focus on those rates. That could lead to large municipalities getting into the mix or smaller businesses banding together to gain this critical mass.

Could this be the first step in fixing our health care system? And done so by private businesses rather than Uncle Sam....
