You know what i did today...

We have 154 pages of comments from the group which is running the petition.

I faxed 80 pages to each of the 10 legislators who voted yes.

The wondered of computers. It took from 10 until 4:30 or so today.

I'm expecting a call tomarrow with a request not to do that again.

The people have to be heard I say, I'm just helping that along.

Two people told me i'm wasting thier fax supplies. I said "it's ok, I paid for it"

After having the 10 votes just 2 days ago, I can't believe someone would change their minds again.

    Which one is it anyway?

I think Debenedetti (sp?) reversed his vote back to no.

Good move, WNYresident. These people in County Hall should see/read/hear what the people have to say... and it's about time.

Is it really that much of a waste in time and supplies for these politicians to considered the words of the people? I don't think anyone of them want to run for election this November.

    Gawd, I am so frustrated

If anything, i bet he found out they weren't going to pass whatever "cuts" he proposed and so he threatened to change his vote again.

I'm sure they'll find some way to get him to vote yes and still make him look like a hero.

Anyway... Shouldn't the vote be done by now?

I think maybe he was "play politics" with his fellow politicians.

I was wondering this too Miles. How many times does something have to go through the voting process before it is denied or approved?

Maybe our friend dtwarren can help us on this one?

    update:

"FIRST ON WGRZ.COM: A vote on the sales tax will NOT happen today. 2 On Your Side has learned there are not ten votes in the legislature again to pass the sales tax. "

OK, so now when do they vote?? How long can they drag this out? Isn't there some drop-dead date when they have to vote and get it overwith?

According to news reports Al D. had to attend to some matter that he must attend to?
The vote is supposed to be taken tomorrow , Friday 2-4-05
I hope that it something more important than this vote?
For if not it is another political stall for who knows what.
Wouldn't it be great if Swanik and Chase pull a 180 on their votes!
The republicans don't have the stones to do it though!

I thought the republicans were the only ones voting No in the first place?

Well, if the vote is stalled only becase Al had a wedding to go to or something... then we're still screwed.

They must get 10 votes by 11:59 p.m. tomorrow if the tax is to be implemented starting March 1, otherwise it will not be implemented until June 1.

I just heard that the state can amend a law that'll give the county another week to reach a final decision.
