One thing that is for sure is WNY REALTORS are in the stone ages in terms of technology.

Blogs are gay. Not in the homosexual way, but in the gay way.
That is the most ignorant comment....Originally Posted by therising

Secondly to respond to the above post, blogs have really become a HUGE networking tool in the professional world. Thinking of them in that light is just wrong since they are so successful.
You are probably lumping all blogs into that generalization and really, it's not true
No offense, but doesn't this violate the Terms of Service if you are posting here for market research purposes and/or to promote your own business?
I'm just here to make people laugh. And to confuse people. Oh, and to irritate people.
Not if I am just answering questions in regard to the area, then no, I dont think it violates the tos. I felt it was important to make it clear that I had some knowledge of what I was talking about. At least I hope I do.Originally Posted by Achbek1

Of course I do, but in this area, most of the cottages are not for rent by agents, but by private owners, hence the reaching out to others to see who possibly knows of someone. Networking has found me some really neat properties that I have been able to rent from before. There was a time when the first property I looked at I was not interested in only because it was a back property, the owners were really nice and understood, and then said, hey call frank, he's in florida and his house is directly on the beach. So sometimes you just need to start "talking" about something to find what you are looking for....that's allOriginally Posted by bigpoppapuff
WNY Real Estate, Housing and Rentals Post your real estate questions so that professionals can answer them, or looking for property, get the help you needI'm not sure who started this thread/heading , but I don't believe answering questions about real estate would be against the "TOS" , esp. for those who know nothing about renting cottages at Bay Beach............. Now "trolling" for sales would be another story.................
Ok...how about this:
My friend wants to rent an apt in the city for 2 months this summer. Any suggestions?

If they want the place all alone, that might be a hard one. I would post on Craigslist that you are looking.Originally Posted by run4it
If they are just looking for a place in the summer, I would again go to Craigslist or a roommate service. Here is a large search...
